Yarn storage system and method for producing textiles using such yarn storage system
A yarn storage container for storing a yarn, said storage container comprising a, preferably tubular, container, having an axial length, a, preferably tubular, wall and a first and second axial extremity, the first axial extremity of said container having an opening for receiving an end of a yarn, said second axial extremity of said container being air-permeably closed, said wall is air permeable by means of a plurality of openings present along the axial length of said container. The invention further relates to a yarn storage system comprising a plurality of containers, to a textile production assembly and to methods of producing yarn and textiles.
1 . An apparatus for producing textiles, comprising:
a yarn storage system, wherein:
the yarn storage system comprises a plurality of yarn storage containers of N rows and M columns, such that each of M and N is greater than 1;
a first yarn storage container of the yarn storage system is positioned at row X and column Y of the yarn storage system, such that X is an integer from 1 to N and Y is an integer from 1 to M;
a second yarn storage container of the yarn storage system is positioned at row R and column S of the yarn storage system, such that R is an integer from 1 to N and S is an integer from 1 to M, wherein either of R is not equal to X or S is not equal to Y; and
a first injector serving a first yarn from a creeling system;
a second injector serving a second yarn from the creeling system;
a robot comprising a memory, wherein the robot is configured to receive and store a filling sequence; and
wherein the robot is configured to execute the filling sequence by at least:
moving the first injector to a location proximal the first yarn storage container;
moving the second injector to a location proximal the second yarn storage container;
injecting a length A of the first yarn into the first yarn storage container; and
injecting a length B of the second yarn into the second yarn storage container.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein R is not equal to X and S is not equal to Y.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the A length is the same as the B length.
4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein a difference between the first yarn and the second yarn is selected from a group consisting of a color, a thickness, and material.
5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the robot is configured to inject the A length of the first yarn into the first yarn storage container at the same time that the B length of the second yarn is injected into the second yarn storage container.
6 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the apparatus is configured to be transported.
7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the yarn storage system is configured to be received by the creeling system.
8 . A yarn consuming machine configured to receive the apparatus of claim 1 , comprising:
at least M*N needles, wherein a first needle of the at least M*N needles is configured to be loaded with the first yarn and a second needle of the at least M*N needles is configured to be loaded with the second yarn; and
wherein the yarn consuming machine is configured to produce a textile comprising the first yarn and the second yarn.
9 . The yarn consuming machine of claim 8 , wherein the textile comprises 90% or more of the A length of the first yarn.
10 . A tufting machine configured to produce a plurality of textile products in sequence, comprising:
a detachable and transportable yarn storage system comprising a plurality of yarn storage containers of N rows and M columns, such that each of M and N is greater than 1;
a plurality of needles;
wherein a first yarn storage container of the plurality of yarn storage containers is loaded with a length A of a first yarn, such that the first yarn is configured to be withdrawn from the first yarn storage container and threaded into a first needle of the plurality of needles; and
wherein a first textile product is produced consuming 90% or more of the A length of the first yarn.
11 . The tufting machine of claim 10 , wherein:
a second yarn having length B is configured to be withdrawn from a second yarn container of the yarn storage system; and
wherein the first textile product is produced consuming 90% or more of the B length of the second yarn.
12 . The tufting machine of claim 11 , wherein length A is the same as length B.
13 . The tufting machine of claim 12 , wherein a difference between the first yarn and the second yarn is selected from a group consisting of a color, a thickness, and material.
14 . The tufting machine of claim 10 , comprising:
a second detachable and transportable yarn storage system comprising a second plurality of yarn storage containers of N rows and M columns;
wherein a first yarn storage container of the second plurality of yarn storage containers is loaded with a length C of a first yarn of the second yarn storage system, such that the first yarn of the second yarn storage system is configured to be withdrawn from the first yarn storage container of the second yarn storage system and threaded into the first needle of the plurality of needles; and
wherein a second textile product is produced consuming 90% or more of the C length of the first yarn of the second yarn storage system.
15 . The tufting machine of claim 14 , wherein:
a second yarn of the second yarn storage system having length D is configured to be withdrawn from a second yarn container of the second yarn storage system yarn storage system; and
wherein the second textile product is produced consuming 90% or more of the D length of the second yarn of the second yarn storage system.
16 . The tufting machine of claim 15 , wherein length C is the same as length D.
17 . The tufting machine of claim 16 , wherein length A is the same length as length C.
18 . The tufting machine of claim 17 , wherein:
the first textile product has a first design and the second textile product has a second design; and
a difference between the first design and the second design is selected from a group consisting of a pattern, a color, a quality, and a relief.
19 . An apparatus for producing textile products, wherein:
the apparatus is configured to produce the textile products in sequence;
a first textile product produced has a first design and a second textile product produced has a second design;
the apparatus comprises:
a plurality of yarn storage systems, wherein:
each yarn storage system comprises a plurality of yarn storage containers of N rows and M columns, such that each of M and N is greater than 1;
a first yarn storage container of each yarn storage system is positioned at row X and column Y of the first yarn storage system, such that X is an integer from 1 to N and Y is an integer from 1 to M;
the first yarn storage container of a first yarn storage system of the plurality of yarn storage systems comprises a first yarn having length A;
the first yarn storage container of a second yarn storage system of the plurality of yarn storage systems comprises a second yarn having length B;
a yarn consuming device, wherein;
the yarn consuming device is configured to consume at least 90% of the length A of the first yarn to produce a first textile product with a first design while not consuming a first remainder of the first yarn;
the yarn consuming device is configured to consume at least 90% of the length B of the second yarn to produce a second textile product with a second design while not consuming a first remainder of the second yarn;
the yarn consuming device is configured to consume a portion of the first remainder of the first yarn and a portion of the first remainder of the second yarn to create a change-over zone between the first produced textile and the second produced textile.
20 . The apparatus of claim 19 , wherein a difference between the first design and the second design is selected from a group consisting of a pattern, a color, a quality, and a relief.
