HFO-1234ze and HFO-1234yf compositions and processes for producing and using the compositions
A fluoropropene composition comprising Z-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, E-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, and optionally 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane wherein the 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene being present in an amount of 0.001 to 1.0%. A method of producing the fluoropropene, methods for using the fluoropropene and the composition formed are also disclosed.
1 . A fluoropropene composition comprising
a near azeotropic composition comprising E-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234ze(E)) and 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf), wherein an amount of the HFO-1234yf is from about 0.01 to 1 mol % based on total amount of the near azeotropic composition;
3,3,3-trifluoropropene (HFO-1243zf); and
1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a).
2 . The fluoropropene composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition includes E-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(E)) in an amount of 0.7 mole percent to 1.15 mole percent based on the total amount of the composition.
3 . The fluoropropene composition of claim 2 , wherein the composition includes Z-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(Z)) in an amount of 0.05 mole percent to 0.25 mole percent based on the total amount of the composition.
4 . The fluoropropene composition of claim 1 further comprising at least one of E-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(E)) and Z-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(E)).
5 . The fluoropropene composition of claim 4 , wherein E-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(E)) is present.

The fluoropropene composition of claim 5 , further comprising at least one of 1-chloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (R-1224 yd), 3-chloro-1,1,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (R-1224zc), 2-chloro-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene (R-1326mxz), 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane (R-113), difluoromethane (R-32), trifluoromethane (R-23), 3,3,3-trifluoropropyne, and 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluorobutane (R-356mff).

The fluoropropene composition of claim 1 , further comprising at least one additional compound selected from the group consisting of 1,1,1-trifluoroethane (R-143a), 1,1-difluoroethane (R-152a), TFP (trifluoropropyne), 2-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233xf), E-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(E)), and Z-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(Z)).
8 . The fluoropropene composition of claim 7 , wherein a total amount of the additional compound(s) is between 0.001 mole percent and 2 mole percent, based on the total fluoropropene composition.

The fluoropropene composition of claim 1 , further comprising at least one additional compound selected from the group consisting of 1-chloro-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (R-1224 yd), 3-chloro-1,1,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (R-1224zc), 2-chloro-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene (R-1326mxz), 1,2,2-trichlorotrifluoroethane (R-113), difluoromethane (R-32), trifluoromethane (R-23), trifluoropropyne, 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluorobutane (R-356mff), 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane (HFC-245fa) and 1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane (HFC-245cb).
10 . The fluoropropene composition of claim 9 , wherein a total amount of the additional compound(s) is between 0.001 mole percent and 2 mole percent, based on the total fluoropropene composition.
