Abstract

Compounds of the formula (I) 5 R 8 R 1 R 7 R 6 R 5 R 4 R 3 R 2 N O N A F N S O (I) wherein the substituents are as defined in claim 1 , useful as pesticides, and especially fungicides.

Claims (33)

1 . A compound of Formula (I):

wherein

A is N;

R 1 is oxetane-3-yl, tetrahydrofuran-2-yl, tetrahydrofuran-3-yl, or tetrahydropyran-4-yl;

R 2 is hydrogen or halogen;

R 3 is C 1 -C 3 alkyl;

R 4 is hydrogen;

R 5 , R 6 are each independently C 1 -C 4 alkyl;

R 7 is hydrogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 alkoxycarbonylC 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1 -C 6 alkoxycarbonyl, or C 1 -C 6 alkoxy;

R 8 is hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 alkoxyC 1 -C 6 alkycarbonyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfanylC 1 -C 6 alkylcarbonyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfinylC 1 -C 6 alkycarbonyl, C 1 -C 6 alkylsulfonylC 1 -C 6 alkycarbonyl, or heterocyclylcarbonyl, wherein the heterocyclyl moiety is a 4-, 5- or 6-membered non-aromatic monocyclic ring comprising 1, 2 or 3 heteroatoms individually selected from nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur;

or a salt or an N-oxide thereof.

2 . The compound according to claim 1 , wherein R 2 is fluoro.

3 . The compound according to claim 1 , wherein R 3 is methyl.

4 . The compound according to claim 1 , wherein R 5 and R 6 are both methyl.

5 . An agrochemical composition comprising a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of formula (I) according to claim 1 .

6 . The composition according to claim 5 , further comprising at least one additional active ingredient and/or an agrochemically-acceptable diluent or carrier.

7 . A method of controlling or preventing infestation of useful plants by phytopathogenic fungi, the method comprises applying to the useful plants, to parts thereof or the locus thereof a fungicidally effective amount of the compound of formula (I) according to claim 1 .

8 . The compound according to claim 1 , selected from

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydrofuran-3-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-N-(tetrahydrofuran-3-carbonyl)thiazole-4-carboxamide;

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydrofuran-2-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide;

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydrofuran-3-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide;

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(oxetane-3-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide; and

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydropyran-4-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide.

9 . The compound according to claim 1 , selected from:

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydrofuran-2-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide;

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydrofuran-3-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide;

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(oxetane-3-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide; and

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydropyran-4-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide.

10 . The compound according to claim 1 , selected from:

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydrofuran-2-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide; and

2-[(2,6-difluoro-4-pyridyl)-(tetrahydrofuran-3-carbonyl)amino]-N-(2,2-dimethylcyclobutyl)-5-methyl-thiazole-4-carboxamide.

11 . An agrochemical composition comprising a fungicidally effective amount of the compound according to claim 8 .

12 . A method of controlling or preventing infestation of useful plants by phytopathogenic fungi, the method comprising applying to the useful plants, to parts thereof or the locus thereof a fungicidally effective amount of the compound according to claim 8 .
