Binding machine
There is provided a binding machine including: an operation dial configured to receive an operation of rotating the operation dial; a rotary switch having a rotatable shaft; and a connecting portion connecting the shaft and the operation dial such that the shaft is rotatable, the connecting portion supporting the operation dial such that a posture of the operation dial is changeable with respect to an extending direction of the shaft.
1 . A binding machine comprising:
an operation dial configured to receive an operation of rotating the operation dial;
a rotary switch having a rotatable shaft; and
a connecting portion connecting the shaft and the operation dial such that the shaft is rotatable, the connecting portion supporting the operation dial such that a posture of the operation dial is changeable with respect to an extending direction (X) of the shaft,
wherein:
the operation dial includes: a dial having a shape for receiving an operation of rotating the operation dial; and a connected portion having a substantially cylindrical shape with an opened end protruding from a back surface of the dial along an axial direction of the rotation of the operation dial,
the connected portion includes: a hole extending continuously from the opened end toward the back surface of the dial along the axial direction; and a groove extending along the extending direction (X) of the shaft and into which a dial connecting portion of the connecting portion is inserted,
the connecting portion includes a switch connecting portion insertable into the hole, and the switch connecting portion has a substantially cylindrical shape with an opened end in the axial direction thereof, and an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the hole of the connected portion,
the dial connecting portion has an outer diameter smaller than a width of the groove of the operation dial and protrudes in a radial direction intersecting the extending direction (X) of the shaft, and
the operation dial has:
a degree of freedom in pivoting, with respect to the switch connecting portion, about two axes (Y, Z), one direction (Y) of which is the extending direction of the dial connecting portion, and the other direction (Z) of which is a direction orthogonal to the extending direction (X) of the shaft and the extending direction (Y) of the dial connecting portion; and
a degree of freedom in moving in a direction orthogonal to the extending direction (X) of the shaft with respect to the switch connecting portion.
2 . The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein
the dial connecting portion is provided at least in two positions facing each other in the radial direction of the switch connecting portion.
3 . The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein
the switch connecting portion is connected to the shaft and extends along the extending direction (X) of the shaft.
4 . The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein
the operation dial is rotatably supported by a body cover, and
the rotary switch is supported by a case attached to the body cover.
5 . The binding machine according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a handle configured to be held by an operator in a hand; and
a binding unit configured to twist a wire wound around an object to be bound, wherein
the operation dial is disposed on an opposite side to the binding unit across the handle.
6 . The binding machine according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a body cover that forms a part of an exterior of the binding machine, wherein
the operation dial is disposed to be recessed inward the binding machine from the body cover.
7 . The binding machine according to claim 6 , further comprising:
a handle configured to be held by an operator in a hand; and
a binding unit configured to twist a wire wound around an object to be bound, wherein
the body cover includes a rear cover disposed on an opposite side to the binding unit across the handle, and
the operation dial is provided on the rear cover.
8 . The binding machine according to claim 1 , wherein
the operation dial is configured to receive the operation of stepwisely rotating the operation dial.
