Abstract

Disclosed is an apparatus for installing a valve in a hollow body. The apparatus has a first member and a second member, wherein a part of lengths of the first and second members are complementary to each other to accommodate the first member circumferentially over the second member at the complementary part. The second member is configured to be inserted in a hole on an outer surface of the hollow body; advanced inside the hollow body while retaining the first member against the hole; and withdrawn from the hollow body while retaining the first member against the hole. The apparatus is configured to install the valve into the hollow body while the first member is retained against the hole, and wherein the first member is withdrawn upon the installation of the valve into the hollow body.

Claims (9)

1 . A valve comprising

a sensor arrangement for sensing data inside a hollow body, wherein the sensor arrangement is embedded inside a body of the valve;

a charger port having a first opening for receiving a charger plug or inflation needle, and a stopper part, wherein the stopper part comprises a channel which is dimensioned to allow the inflation needle to penetrate the hollow body while preventing the charger plug to penetrate the hollow body;

wherein the stopper part is made from an elastic material to keep the channel airtight when the inflation needle is removed from the channel; and

wherein the sensor arrangement comprises a printed circuit board, charging pads arranged to be electrically connected to the charger plug via the charger port, a sensor, a communication interface, an antenna and a chargeable battery.

2 . The valve according to claim 1 , wherein the stopper part and the body of the valve are made from same material.

3 . The valve according to claim 1 , wherein the stopper part is flexible rubber comprising the channel and the body part is elastomeric polymer.

4 . The valve according to claim 1 , wherein a combined length of the channel and a depth of the charger port from the first opening to the stopper part, is greater than length of the charging plug to prevent charger plug from penetrating to the hollow body.

5 . The valve according to claim 4 , wherein the combined length of the channel and the depth of the charger port from the first opening to the stopper part is less than length of the inflation needle to allow providing air to the hollow body.
