Abstract

Techniques for providing a cross-ecosystem website for applications are presented. The techniques can include storing, by a webserver, multiple website templates in association with a plurality of respective web widgets and a respective Application Program Interface (API), where a plurality of respective back-end services correspond to the plurality of respective web widgets; receiving, from a website developer, a website template selection and a web widget selection; implementing a respective API for the cross-ecosystem website; storing in association with the cross-ecosystem website a manifest indicating services available on the cross-ecosystem website; and interfacing with a plurality of applications in a plurality of application ecosystems, using the API for the cross-ecosystem website.

Claims (63)

1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving a domain name for a website associated with an organization;

identifying information associated with the organization, the information representing a first identifier associated with the organization and a second identifier associated with the organization;

determining a first keyword associated with the first identifier and a second keyword associated with the second identifier;

generating a plurality of possible derivative domain names, the plurality of possible derivative domain names comprising a first derivative domain name and a second derivative domain name, wherein the first derivative domain name comprises the domain name and the first keyword, and wherein the second derivative domain name comprises the domain name and the second keyword;

determining a registration status for the plurality of possible derivative domain names;

presenting the plurality of possible derivative domain names for selection; and

causing a first device associated with the first derivative domain name to store first data associating the first derivative domain name with the domain name, wherein the first device is configured to perform operations comprising:

receiving a request for accessing the first derivative domain name, wherein the request is associated with a second device; and

based on receiving the request, providing the first data to the second device.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the information comprises a keyword related to the website, wherein one of the plurality of possible derivative domain names includes the keyword.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the website is a first website, the computer-implemented method further comprising:

receiving a selection of one of the plurality of possible derivative domain names as a selected derivative domain name; and

providing a second website based at least in part on the selected derivative domain name.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the second website for the selected derivative domain name redirects to the first website for the domain name.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the second website for the selected derivative domain name is a subset of the first website for the domain name.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the second website for the selected derivative domain name is different from the first website for the domain name.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the second website for the selected derivative domain name supports searching by a voice ecosystem.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the second website for the selected derivative domain name includes a manifest identifying a locale related to the selected derivative domain name.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the second website for a selected derivative domain name includes a manifest to inform a search engine that the selected derivative domain name supports applications in an application ecosystem and that search results including the selected derivative domain name are to be based on the application ecosystem.

10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first identifier represents at least one of a first location associated with the organization, a first resource of the organization, a first department within the organization, a first function performed by the organization, or a first role within the organization, and

the second identifier represents at least one of a second location associated with the organization, a second resource of the organization, a second department within the organization, a second function performed by the organization, or a second role within the organization.

11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the information is associated with the website and the organization.

12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising facilitating registration of a selected one of the plurality of possible derivative domain names.

13 . A system comprising:

one or more processors; and

one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

receiving a domain name for a website associated with an organization;

identifying information associated with the organization, the information representing a first identifier associated with the organization and a second identifier associated with the organization;

determining a first keyword associated with the first identifier and a second keyword associated with the second identifier;

generating a plurality of possible derivative domain names, the plurality of possible derivative domain names comprising a first derivative domain name and a second derivative domain name, wherein the first derivative domain name comprises the domain name and the first keyword, and wherein the second derivative domain name comprises the domain name and the second keyword;

determining a registration status for the plurality of possible derivative domain names;

presenting the plurality of possible derivative domain names; and

causing a first device associated with the first derivative domain name to store first data associating the first derivative domain name with the domain name, wherein the first device is configured to perform operations comprising:

receiving a request for accessing the first derivative domain name, wherein the request is associated with a second device; and

based on receiving the request, providing the first data to the second device.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the information comprises a keyword related to the website, wherein one of the plurality of possible derivative domain names includes the keyword.

15 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the website is a first website, the operations further comprising:

receiving a selection of one of the plurality of possible derivative domain names as a selected derivative domain name; and

providing a second website based at least in part on the selected derivative domain name.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein at least one of:

the second website for the selected derivative domain name redirects to the first website for the domain name;

the second website for the selected derivative domain name is a subset of the first website for the domain name; or

the second website for the selected derivative domain name is different from the first website for the domain name.

17 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

receiving a domain name for a website associated with an organization;

identifying information associated with the organization, the information representing a first identifier associated with the organization and a second identifier associated with the organization;

determining a first keyword associated with the first identifier and a second keyword associated with the second identifier;

generating a plurality of possible derivative domain names, the plurality of possible derivative domain names comprising a first derivative domain name and a second derivative domain name, wherein the first derivative domain name comprises the domain name and the first keyword, and wherein the second derivative domain name comprises the domain name and the second keyword;

determining a registration status for the plurality of possible derivative domain names;

presenting the plurality of possible derivative domain names; and
