Unsubscribe and delete automation
Methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses may assist a consumer in deleting personal information held by a data broker Entities holding the consumer's personal information may be discovered and automated actions for purging or deleting the consumer's personal information may be determined. The methods, computer-readable media, software, and apparatuses may assist the consumer in updating privacy settings associated with accounts at various entities.
1 . A system, comprising:
one or more processors configured to:
determine, for a plurality of items of email correspondence, a plurality of user accounts indicated by information included in the email correspondence, wherein the user accounts are associated with a particular user;
determine a plurality of different personal information elements associated with the particular user that correspond to one or more personal information categories of information, and that are stored within one or more systems associated with at least two different accounts of the plurality of user accounts;
analyze one or more privacy policies associated with the plurality of user accounts to determine whether the particular user is allowed to modify the different personal information elements;
present an option for selecting one or more of the personal information categories as a filter for account display; and
responsive to selection of one or more personal information categories, display all accounts, from the plurality of user accounts, that store personal information elements that correspond to a selected one or more personal information categories, and for each account, a respective indication of whether the particular user is allowed to modify personal information associated with the selected one or more personal information categories.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of different personal information elements includes one or more of a particular location, a particular address, a particular phone number, or a particular credit card number associated with the particular user.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more personal information categories includes one or more of: a location category, an address category, a phone number category, a credit card number category, or a financial category.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:
receive input indicating at least one personal information category;
determine one or more accounts that store personal information elements corresponding to the received at least one personal information category;
receive a new personal information element; and
after determining that respective privacy policies of the one or more accounts allow modification of the different personal information elements, automatically replace respective personal information elements stored in the determined one or more accounts with the new personal information element.
5 . A method comprising:
determining, for a plurality of items of email correspondence, a plurality of user accounts indicated by information included in the email correspondence, wherein the user accounts are associated with a particular user;
determining a plurality of different personal information elements associated with the particular user that correspond to one or more personal information categories of information, and that are stored within one or more systems associated with at least two different accounts of the plurality of user accounts;
analyzing one or more privacy policies associated with the plurality of user accounts to determine whether the particular user is allowed to modify the different personal information elements;
presenting an option for selecting one or more of the personal information categories as a filter for account display; and
responsive to selection of one or more of the personal information categories, displaying all accounts, from the plurality of user accounts, that store personal information elements that correspond to a selected one or more personal information categories, and for each account, a respective indication of whether the particular user is allowed to modify personal information associated with the selected one or more personal information categories.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of different personal information elements includes one or more of a particular location, a particular address, a particular phone number, or a particular credit card number associated with the particular user.
7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the one or more personal information categories includes one or more of: a location category, an address category, a phone number category, a credit card number category, or a financial category.
8 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising:
receiving input indicating at least one personal information category;
determining one or more accounts that store personal information elements corresponding to the received at least one personal information category;
receiving a new personal information element; and
after determining that respective privacy policies of the one or more accounts allow modification of the different personal information elements, automatically replacing respective personal information elements stored in the determined one or more accounts with the new personal information element.
9 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
determining, for a plurality of items of email correspondence, a plurality of user accounts indicated by information included in the email correspondence, wherein the user accounts are associated with a particular user;
determining a plurality of different personal information elements associated with the particular user that correspond to one or more personal information categories of information, and that are stored within one or more systems associated with at least two different accounts of the plurality of user accounts;
analyzing one or more privacy policies associated with the plurality of user accounts to determine whether the particular user is allowed to modify the different personal information elements;
presenting an option for selecting one or more of the personal information categories as a filter for account display; and
responsive to selection of one or more of the personal information categories, displaying all accounts, from the plurality of user accounts, that store personal information elements that correspond to a selected one or more personal information categories, and for each account, a respective indication of whether the particular user is allowed to modify personal information associated with the selected one or more personal information categories.

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of different personal information elements includes one or more of a particular location, a particular address, a particular phone number, or a particular credit card number associated with the particular user.
11 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the one or more personal information categories includes one or more of: a location category, an address category, a phone number category, a credit card number category, or a financial category.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the instructions cause the one or more processors to perform further operations comprising:
receiving input indicating at least one personal information category;
determining one or more accounts that store personal information elements corresponding to the received at least one personal information category;
receiving a new personal information element; and
after determining that respective privacy policies of the one or more accounts allow modification of the different personal information elements, automatically replacing respective personal information elements stored in the determined one or more accounts with the new personal information element.
