Abstract

An example operation may include one or more of acquiring, by a retailer node, an inventory data from a supplier node over a blockchain network, receiving, by the retailer node, outstanding orders data of the supplier node, generating, by the retailer node, an order distribution policy based on the inventory data and the outstanding orders data, and executing a smart contract to order goods from the supplier node based on the ordering policy.

Claims (37)

1 . A system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory on which are stored machine readable instructions that when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

receive an order for an item from a retailer node;

acquire encrypted data from a plurality of supplier nodes over a blockchain network, wherein the acquired encrypted data comprises encrypted inventory data, reliability attributes, size attributes, efficiency attributes, and lead-time attributes;

generate, based on the acquired encrypted data and without decryption of the acquired encrypted data, an order distribution policy specifying an amount of the item of the order to be provided from each supplier node of the plurality of supplier nodes;

execute, based on the generated order distribution policy, a smart contract on a blockchain ledger of the blockchain network to split the order into a plurality of orders; and

submit the plurality of orders to each supplier node of the plurality of supplier nodes over the blockchain network.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to generate the order distribution policy based on outstanding orders of the plurality of supplier nodes.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a proportional ordering.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a scaled proportional ordering.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a predictive proportional ordering.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to acquire the encrypted data from the plurality of supplier nodes without having a current inventory level of the item for any of the plurality of supplier nodes.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor to generate the order distribution policy as a function based on a vector specifying each order of the plurality of orders of the item for each supplier node from among the plurality of supplier nodes.

8 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:

receiving an order for an item from a retailer node;

acquiring encrypted data from a plurality of supplier nodes over a blockchain network, wherein the acquired encrypted data comprises encrypted inventory data, reliability attributes, size attributes, efficiency attributes, and lead-time attributes;

generating, based on the acquired encrypted data and without decryption of the acquired encrypted data, an order distribution policy specifying an amount of the item of the order to be provided from each supplier node of the plurality of supplier nodes;

executing, based on the generated order distribution policy, a smart contract on a blockchain ledger of the blockchain network to split the order into a plurality of orders; and

submitting the plurality of orders to each supplier node of the plurality of supplier nodes over the blockchain network.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising generating the order distribution policy based on outstanding orders of the plurality of supplier nodes.

10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a proportional ordering.

11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a scaled proportional ordering.

12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a predictive proportional ordering.

13 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising acquiring the encrypted data from the plurality of supplier nodes without having a current inventory level of the item for any the plurality of supplier nodes.

14 . The computer-implemented method of claim 8 , further comprising generating the order distribution policy as a function based on a vector specifying each order of the plurality of orders of the item for each supplier node from among the plurality of supplier nodes.

15 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions, that when read by a processor, cause the processor to perform:

receiving an order for an item from a retailer node;

acquiring encrypted data from a plurality of supplier nodes over a blockchain network, wherein the acquired encrypted data comprises encrypted inventory data, reliability attributes, size attributes, efficiency attributes, and lead-time attributes;

generating, based on the acquired encrypted data and without decryption of the acquired encrypted data, an order distribution policy specifying an amount of the item of the order to be provided from each supplier node of the plurality of supplier nodes;

executing, based on the generated order distribution policy, a smart contract on a blockchain ledger of the blockchain network to split the order into a plurality of orders; and

submitting the plurality of orders to each supplier node of the plurality of supplier nodes over the blockchain network.

16 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions, that when read by the processor, cause the processor to perform generating the order distribution policy based on outstanding orders of the plurality of supplier nodes.

17 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a proportional ordering.

18 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a scaled proportional ordering.

19 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the order distribution policy is based on a predictive proportional ordering.

20 . The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions, that when read by the processor, cause the processor to perform generating the order distribution policy as a function based on a vector specifying each order of the plurality of orders of the item for each supplier node from among the plurality of supplier nodes.
