Abstract

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for processing analyte data. In some exemplary embodiments, there is provided a method. The method may include selecting at least one module from among a plurality of modules, the selection performed based on metadata including one or more of the following rules: whether the at least one module can be used with a type of device, whether the at least one module can be used with a glycemic state of a host, and whether the at least one module can be used with an expected volume of data generated by the type of device; and generating a report including the selected at least one module configured to present information representative of the glucose concentration level measured in the host. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

determine whether a user sending the request for the report is authorized to receive the report, including:

authenticate a security credential associated with the user sending the request;

if the security credential is authenticated, send the report to the user; and

if the security credential is not authenticated, do not send the report to the user.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein to generate the report includes to structure the one or more data presentation modules to present a visual representation of the analyte sensor data, the visual representation including at least one of:

a graph having distinct graphical elements representative of whether analyte levels over the period of time are at least one of at, above or below, or within a predetermined range;

a call out including a numeric value associated with at least one feature of the visual representation; or

a textual legend including a description of the visual representation.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the computer is further configured to analyze the metadata and select one or more data presentation module templates, wherein to generate the report further includes to arrange the one or more data presentation modules in the one or more data presentation module templates.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein to analyze the metadata includes to identify one or more factors of the metadata, the one or more factors including one or more of an amount of available analyte sensor data during the period of time, a type of metadata available during the period of time, devices used by the host configured to use information associated with the analyte sensor data, user preference information, a size of a user interface available to present the one or more data presentation modules, or a quantity of analyte sensor data included in the one or more data presentation modules over the period of time.

10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein selection of the one or more data presentation module templates is based on a type of user from which the request for the report is received, the type of user including a patient, a caregiver, a specific type of medical professional, a businessperson, or a group of patients.

11 . A computer-based method for reporting analyte data, the computer-based method comprising:

receiving data pertaining to a host, the data including analyte sensor data generated by an analyte sensor;
