Barcode generation and implementation method and system for processing information
A system and method for generating and implementing a barcode, wherein the system includes a data generation device configured to receive data and generate barcode data in response to the received data. The system additionally includes a barcode generation device configured to receive the barcode data and generate a barcode in response to the received barcode data. The system additionally includes a display device configured to display the barcode. The system additionally includes a barcode receiving device configured to read the barcode and operate in response to the read barcode.
1 . A wearable activity device, wherein the wearable activity device is comprised of:
at least one microprocessor;
a memory device in signal communication with the at least one microprocessor;
software stored within the memory device;
a display device in signal communication with one or more of the at least one microprocessor;
an integrated accelerometer in signal communication with one or more of the at least one microprocessor, the integrated accelerometer tracks activity of a person wearing the wearable activity device;
an integrated bio-metric monitoring sensor in signal communication with one or more of the at least one microprocessor, wherein in use, the integrated bio-metric monitoring sensor detects a bio-metric characteristic of the person using the wearable activity device;
a wireless communication circuit in signal communication with one or more of the at least one microprocessor, wherein, when the wearable activity device is being used, the wireless communication circuit establishes a wireless communication link between the wearable activity device and a mobile device;
wireless pairing information stored within the memory device, wherein during use, the wireless pairing information is used in conjunction with the wireless communication circuit to pair with the mobile device;
wherein the software directs the at least one microprocessor to:
(a) obtain from the memory device, the wireless pairing information for use with the wireless communication circuit,
(b) dynamically generate a color coded digital scannable media in response to the wireless pairing information,
(c) drive the display device, wherein, during use, the display device displays the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media,
(d) employ the wireless communication circuit to establish the wireless communication link between the wearable activity device and the mobile device in response to the mobile device scanning and decoding the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media,
(e) generate each of (a) activity tracking information and (b) bio-metric information while the person is wearing the wearable activity device, and
(f) use the wireless communication link to communicate at least one of (a) the activity tracking information and the (b) bio-metric information to the mobile device.
2 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , wherein the wearable activity device is at least one of:
(a) a smartwatch device,
(b) a wearable health monitoring device,
(c) a blood pressure monitoring device,
(d) a pulse oximeter device, and
(e) a pedometer device.
3 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , wherein, during use, the wireless communication circuit establishes the wireless communication link between the wearable activity device and the mobile device via at least one of: (a) near field communications,
(b) wide area network communications, and
(c) personal area network communications.
4 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , wherein the mobile device is at least one of:
(a) a smartphone, and
(b) a tablet device.
5 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , wherein the wireless pairing information is at least one of:
(a) a MAC address,
(b) a serial number, and
(c) a unique session identifier.
6 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media further comprising the unique session identifier generated by the at least one microprocessor, wherein the unique session identifier is used by the at least one microprocessor to create the wireless communication link between the wearable activity device and the mobile device.
7 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , the wireless pairing information further comprising a combination of the wireless communication circuit information and at least one of (a) a user identifier and (b) an identifier associated with the wearable activity device.
8 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media further comprising wearable activity device information that includes at least one of:
(a) a device type of the wearable activity,
(b) an error code originating from the wearable activity device,
(c) date and time stamp data generated by the wearable activity device,
(d) a location reference identifying a geographic location of the wearable activity device,
(e) a user ID associated with the user of the wearable activity device,
(f) wearable activity device software information, and
(g) wearable activity device utilization information.
9 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , wherein the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media is at least one of:
(a) a QR code,
(b) a 2D Matrix code,
(c) a 3D barcode,
(d) an encoded non-human readable information using colored pixels,
(e) an augmented reality marker,
(f) an augmented reality image,
(g) an augmented reality code,
(h) at least one animation, and
(i) at least one image.
10 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , wherein the display device is at least one of:
(a) a touch screen display, a LED display, and
(b) a LCD display.
11 . The wearable activity device as recited in claim 1 , wherein the display device periodically flashes the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media, such that multiple colored digital pixels are optically captured by the mobile device during a single scanning operation.
12 . A system for establishing a wireless communication link between a wearable activity device and a mobile device, the system comprising:
the wearable activity device comprising:
at least one wearable activity device processor,
a wearable activity memory device in signal communication with the at least one wearable activity device processor,
wearable activity device software stored within the wearable activity memory device,
a wearable activity device display in signal communication with one or more of the at least one wearable activity device processor, the wearable activity device display integrated within the wearable tracking device,
an activity tracking sensor in signal communication with one or more of the at least one wearable activity device processor,
at least one bio-metric monitoring sensor in signal communication with one or more of the at least one wearable activity device processor, wherein, during use, the at least one bio-metric monitoring sensor acquires a bio-metric characteristic of the person using the wearable activity device, and
a wireless communication circuit in signal communication with one or more of the at least one wearable activity device processor, wherein, during use the wireless communication circuit establishes a wireless communication link between the wearable activity device and the mobile device;
wherein the wearable activity device software is programmed to direct the at least one wearable activity device processor to accomplish the following:
obtain wireless pairing information to operate the wearable activity device wireless communication circuit from the wearable activity device memory device,
dynamically generate a color coded digital scannable media in response to the wireless pairing information,
drive the wearable activity device display to present the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media on the wearable activity device display;
use the wearable activity device wireless communication circuit to establish the wireless communication link between the wearable activity device and the mobile device in response to the mobile device scanning and decoding the dynamically generated color coded displayed digital scannable media;
generate at least one of (a) activity tracking data and (b) bio-metric data from information acquired by the activity tracking sensor and from information acquired by the at least one biometric monitoring sensor, respectively; and
communicate the activity tracking information and the bio-metric information to the mobile device via the wireless communication link; and
the mobile device comprising;
at least one mobile device processor;
a mobile device memory device in signal communication with one or more of the at least one mobile device processor;
mobile device software instructions stored within the mobile device memory device,
at least one camera sensor in signal communication with one or more of the at least one mobile device processor;
a mobile device display in signal communication with one or more of the at least one mobile device processor;
a mobile device wireless communication circuit enabling wireless communication with the wearable activity device;
upon execution, the mobile device software instructions direct one or more of the at least one mobile device processor to perform operations to:
generate an optical scanning user interface on the mobile device display,
detect the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media from the wearable activity device display, wherein the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media contains the wireless pairing information associated with the wearable activity device wherein the detection is accomplished by the at least one mobile device camera sensor and the optical scanning user interface;
optically obtain the wireless pairing information from the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media using the at least one mobile device camera sensor,
process the wireless pairing information using one or more of the at least one mobile device processor,
establish a wireless communication link between the mobile device and the wearable activity device responsive to the processing of the wireless pairing information, via the at least one mobile device processor,
receive the at least one of (a) activity tracking information and (b) bio-metric information generated by the wearable activity device via the wireless communication link between the mobile device and the wearable activity tracking device, and
display the activity related information and the bio-metric information on the mobile device display.
13 . The system as recited in claim 12 , wherein the wearable activity device is at least one of:
(a) a smartwatch, and
(b) a wearable health monitoring device,
(c) a blood pressure monitoring device,
(d) a pulse oximeter device, and
(e) a pedometer device.
14 . The system as recited in claim 12 , wherein the wireless communication circuit establishes a link between the wearable activity device and the mobile device via at least one of:
(a) near field communications technology,
(b) wide area network communications technology, and
(c) personal area network communications technology.
15 . The system as recited in claim 12 , wherein the mobile device is at least one of:
(a) a smartphone, and
(b) a computer tablet.
16 . The system as recited in claim 12 , wherein the wireless pairing information associated with the wireless communication circuit is at least one of:
(a) a MAC address identifier,
(b) a wearable activity device identifier, and
(c) a unique session identifier.

The system as recited in claim 12 , the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media further comprising the unique session identifier generated by the at least one processor of the wearable activity device, wherein the unique session identifier is used by the at least one processor to create the wireless communication link between the wearable activity device and the mobile device.
18 . The system as recited in claim 12 , the wireless pairing information further comprising of at least one of:
(a) a user identification identifier of the person using the wearable activity device and the mobile device,
(b) a wireless communication circuitry identifier information associated with the wearable activity device,
(c) a wearable activity device identifier information, and
(d) a unique session identifier.
19 . The system as recited in claim 18 , wherein the wearable activity device identifier information is at least one of:
(a) a type of the wearable activity device,
(b) an error code respective to the wearable activity device,
(c) date and time stamp references generated by the wearable activity device,
(d) a location identifier of the geographic location of the wearable activity device,
(e) user ID information of a user wearing the wearable activity device,
(f) wearable activity device software information, and
(g) wearable activity device utilization information.
20 . The system as recited in claim 12 , wherein the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media is at least one of:
(a) a QR code,
(b) a 2D Matrix code,
(c) a 3D barcode,
(d) a colored pixel representation of non-human readable information,
(e) an augmented reality marker,
(f) an augmented reality image,
(g) an augmented reality code,
(h) at least one animation, and
(i) at least one image.
21 . The system as recited in claim 12 , wherein the wearable activity display device is at least one of:
(a) a touch screen display,
(b) an LED display, and
(c) an LCD display.
22 . The system as recited in claim 12 , wherein the wearable activity display periodically flashes the dynamically generated color coded digital scannable media, such that multiple colored digital pixels are optically captured by the mobile device during a single scanning operation.
