Abstract

The present application discloses an improved transportation matching system, and corresponding methods and computer-readable media. According to disclosed embodiments, a transportation matching system receives a session indicator and device-based location. The system utilizes the received request and device-based location to identify and analyze historical transportation matching system information. The system then generates a confidence score based on this information that indicates a level of confidence that the device-based location is a pickup location associated with the request. If the generated confidence score exceeds a predetermined threshold, the system provides display components to a requestor computing device that enable confirmation of the transportation request with a single user interaction.

Claims (47)

1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving a session indicator and a device-based location associated with a requestor computing device;

identifying, by one or more computer processors, context information associated with the session indicator and the device-based location;

receiving, from the requestor computing device, a touch gesture indicating a modification to an interactive map;

based on the touch gesture indicating the modification to the interactive map and the context information, generating a confidence score indicating a level of confidence of a potential pickup location;

based on the touch gesture indicating the modification to the interactive map and the context information associated with the session indicator and the device-based location, generating an additional confidence score indicating an additional level of confidence of an additional potential pickup location; and

providing, for display via the requestor computing device, a potential pickup location indicator for the potential pickup location within the interactive map based on the confidence score.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the context information comprises utilizing the session indicator to identify user-specific information indicating pickup locations associated with the requestor computing device.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the context information comprises identifying location-specific information indicating previous pickup locations from other requestor devices corresponding to the device-based location.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the touch gesture indicating the modification to the interactive map comprises receiving a movement gesture indicating a movement of the interactive map.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein generating the confidence score indicating the level of confidence of the potential pickup location comprises:

determining a modified display region corresponding to the modification to the interactive map; and

providing the potential pickup location indicator based on the confidence score and determining that the potential pickup location falls within the modified display region.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising providing an additional potential pickup location indicator for the additional potential pickup location for display within the interactive map based on the additional confidence score.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising, providing the potential pickup location indicator for the potential pickup location within the interactive map based on comparing the confidence score to a confidence score threshold.

8 . A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

receive a session indicator and a device-based location associated with a requestor computing device;

identify context information associated with the session indicator and the device-based location;

receive, from the requestor computing device, a touch gesture indicating a modification to an interactive map;

based on the touch gesture indicating the modification to the interactive map and the context information, generate a confidence score indicating a level of confidence of a potential pickup location;

based on the touch gesture indicating the modification to the interactive map and the context information associated with the session indicator and the device-based location, generate an additional confidence score indicating an additional level of confidence of an additional potential pickup location; and

provide, for display via the requestor computing device, a potential pickup location indicator for the potential pickup location within the interactive map based on the confidence score.

9 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to identify the context information by utilizing the session indicator to identify user-specific information indicating pickup locations associated with the requestor computing device.

10 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to identify the context information by identifying location-specific information indicating previous pickup locations from other requestor devices corresponding to the device-based location.

11 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to receive the touch gesture indicating the modification to the interactive map by receiving a movement gesture indicating a movement of the interactive map.

12 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to generate the confidence score indicating the level of confidence of the potential pickup location by:

determining a modified display region corresponding to the modification to the interactive map; and

providing the potential pickup location indicator based on the confidence score and determining that the potential pickup location falls within the modified display region.

13 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to provide an additional potential pickup location indicator for the additional potential pickup location for display within the interactive map based on the additional confidence score.

14 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to provide the potential pickup location indicator for the potential pickup location within the interactive map based on comparing the confidence score to a confidence score threshold.

15 . A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computer device to:

receive a session indicator and a device-based location associated with a requestor computing device;

identify context information associated with the session indicator and the device-based location;

receive, from the requestor computing device, a touch gesture indicating a modification to an interactive map;

based on the touch gesture indicating the modification to the interactive map and the context information, generate a confidence score indicating a level of confidence of a potential pickup location;
