Abstract

A control method for an information processing apparatus connectable with a communication apparatus and an access point is provided. The method comprises acquiring a first search result acquired via a search for access points performed by the communication apparatus or the information processing apparatus; attempting to establish a connection between a first access point, from access points and the information processing apparatus; attempting to establish a connection between a second access point, from the access points, to which the information processing apparatus has not attempted to establish a connection with, in a case in which establishing a connection with the first access point fails; and transmitting, to the communication apparatus, connection information for connecting to an access point corresponding to the connection established successfully.

attempting to establish a connection between the information processing apparatus and a second access point contained in the list, the second access point having a priority lower than that of the first access point and being an access point to which the information processing apparatus has not attempted to establish a connection, in a case in which establishing a connection with the first access point fails, and

performing, based on the establishment of the connection between an access point included in the list and the information processing apparatus, processing for transmitting, to the communication apparatus, connection information for connecting to the access point by using a second protocol between the communication apparatus and the information processing apparatus, the second protocol being Device Provisioning Protocol (DPP) which is different from the first protocol.

7 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing at least one program, wherein the program causes a computer capable to communicating with a communication apparatus and an access point to

receive, via a direct wireless connection between the communication apparatus and the information processing apparatus by using a first protocol, a first search result which is a result acquired via a search for access points performed by the communication apparatus, the first protocol being Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP),

acquire a second search result which is a result acquired via a search for access points performed by the information processing apparatus,

generate, by comparing the first search result and the second search result and deleting one or more access points included in either one of the first search result and the second search result and not included in the other one of the first search result and the second search result, a list including access points commonly included in both the first search result and the second search result, the list being ordered according to priorities of the access points determined based on signal strengths of signals from the access points measured by the communication apparatus,
