Abstract

A washbasin assembly includes comprising a base body ( 3 ) with a top recess ( 19 ) having a drainage opening ( 15 ) formed therein. A surface of the top recess slopes in the direction of the drainage opening ( 15 ). The base body ( 3 ) is formed from hard foam carrying a waterproof layer ( 13 ) at least on its upwardly facing surfaces, on which in turn, an adhesion-promoting layer ( 14 ) is arranged which promotes adhesion of thin-bed mortar or filler material, the base body ( 3 ) formed from a plurality of cut-to-size rigid foam panels ( 8, 9, 10, 11 ), which are arranged one above the other and are firmly bonded to one another.
