Ink container and ink supply device
An ink container includes a main body and a supply port. The main body includes a chamber configured to store ink. The supply port faces in a first direction. The main body further includes: a front surface positioned in the first direction from the supply port; a left surface that extends from the front surface in a second direction opposite to the first direction; a right surface that extends from the front surface in the second direction; and a first groove that extends from the front surface in the second direction, the first groove being positioned above the supply port in an up-down direction.
1 . An ink container comprising:
a main body including a chamber configured to store ink; and
a supply port facing in a first direction,
wherein the main body further includes:
a front surface positioned in the first direction from the supply port;
a left surface that extends from the front surface in a second direction opposite to the first direction;
a right surface that extends from the front surface in the second direction;
a first groove that extends from the front surface in the second direction, the first groove being positioned above the supply port in an up-down direction; and
an electrical interface, wherein the electrical interface is positioned above the first groove in the up-down direction.
2 . The ink container of claim 1 , wherein the first groove extends and along the left surface in the second direction.
3 . The ink container of claim 2 , further comprising a second groove that extends from the front surface and along the right surface in the second direction, the second groove being positioned above the supply port in the up-down direction.
4 . The ink container of claim 3 , wherein:
the first groove includes a first surface and a facing second surface, and
the second groove includes a third surface and a facing fourth surface.
5 . The ink container of claim 4 , wherein:
the first surface faces the second surface in an up-down direction, and
the third surface faces the fourth surface in the up-down direction.
6 . The ink container of claim 4 , wherein:
the first surface is parallel to the second surface, and
the third surface is parallel to the fourth surface.
7 . The ink container of claim 3 , wherein the first groove and the second groove overlap each other when viewed in a left-right-direction perpendicular to the up-down-direction and the first direction.
8 . The ink container of claim 1 , wherein a part of the chamber is positioned between the first groove and the second groove.
9 . The ink container of claim 1 , wherein the main body further includes:
a first member that includes the chamber and the supply port; and
a second member that includes the front surface, the left surface, the right surface, and the first groove, and is attached to the first member;
wherein the first member is rotatable relative to the second member.
10 . The ink container of claim 1 , wherein the main body further includes:
a valve configured to open and close the supply port; and
a bias member configured to bias the valve in the first direction.
11 . The ink container of claim 9 , wherein the main body further includes an upper wall, and wherein the electrical interface is positioned on the upper wall.
12 . The ink container of claim 11 , further comprising:
a first key portion positioned forward of the supply port in the first direction, above the supply port in the up-down direction, and below the electrical interface in the up-down direction;
wherein the first groove is positioned between the electrical interface and the first key portion in the up-down direction.
13 . The ink container of claim 12 , wherein the electrical interface has a rear end in the second direction, and wherein the first groove extends from the front surface beyond the rear end of the electrical interface in the second direction.
14 . The ink container of claim 12 , wherein the first key portion has a rear end in the second direction, and wherein the first groove extends from the front surface at least to the rear end of the first key portion in the second direction.
15 . A printing system comprising:
an attachment portion comprising:
an attachment space; and
a first projection extending into the attachment space; and
an ink container configured to be received in the attachment space, the ink container comprising:
a main body including a chamber configured to store ink;
a supply port facing in a first direction,
wherein the main body further includes:
a front surface positioned in the first direction from the supply port;
a left surface that extends from the front surface in a second direction opposite to the first direction;
a right surface that extends from the front surface in the second direction;
a first groove that extends from the front surface in the second direction, the first groove being positioned above the supply port in an up-down direction, and configured to receive the first projection when the ink container is received in the attachment space; and
an electrical interface, wherein the electrical interface is positioned above the first groove in the up-down direction.
16 . The printing system of claim 15 , wherein the first groove extends along the left surface in the second direction.
17 . The printing system of claim 16 , wherein the ink container further comprises:
a second groove that extends from the front surface and along the right surface in the second direction, the second groove being positioned above the supply port in the up-down direction;
wherein the attachment portion further comprises:
a second projection extending into the attachment space, the second groove configured to receive the second projection when the ink container is received in the attachment space.
18 . The printing system of claim 17 , wherein the main body further includes:
a first member that includes the chamber and the supply port; and
a second member that includes the front surface, the left surface, the right surface, and the first groove, and is attached to the first member;
wherein the first member is rotatable relative to the second member such that the first member is moved upward when the ink container is received in the attachment space.
19 . The printing system of claim 17 , wherein the first projection and the second projection each comprise a flat plate extending in the second direction.
