Touch display device
A touch display device is disclosed. The touch display device includes a touch electrode and a touch routing line that are disposed on an area that is different from an area where a spacer is disposed. Thus, a touch sensing function can be provided in the touch display device while reducing an influence that a touch sensor structure affects a viewing angle of an image.
1 . A touch display device, comprising:
a plurality of light-emitting elements on an active area of a substrate;
a bank on the active area of the substrate, the bank including a plurality of openings and each opening corresponds to a light emitting area of a corresponding one of the plurality of light-emitting elements;
a plurality of spacers on the bank;
an encapsulation layer on the plurality of spacers; and
a plurality of touch electrodes on the encapsulation layer,
wherein the plurality of spacers comprise at least one first spacer tapered toward the encapsulation layer and at least one second spacer tapered toward the substrate, and
wherein a first portion of at least one touch electrode among the plurality of touch electrodes overlaps with the at least one first spacer, and a second portion of the at least one touch electrode overlaps with the at least one second spacer.
2 . The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of touch electrodes is a mesh-type touch electrode and has a mesh, and at least one of the at least one first spacer and the at least one second spacer has a width greater than each of metal strands included in the mesh-type touch electrode.
3 . The touch display device of claim 2 , wherein the at least one first spacer overlaps with at least two metal strands among the metal strands included in the mesh-type touch electrode.
4 . The touch display device of claim 1 , further comprising:
a plurality of touch routing lines electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes and disposed in the active area.
5 . The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein the active area comprises a plurality of sub-areas divided by a first boundary along a first direction of the active area and a second boundary along a second direction of the active area that crosses the first direction, the plurality of sub-areas including a first sub-area and a second sub-area that are separated from each other by the first boundary, and
wherein the plurality of touch electrodes comprise a plurality of first touch electrodes disposed in the first sub-area, and a plurality of second touch electrodes disposed in the second sub-area and separated from the plurality of first touch electrodes.
6 . The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one second spacer comprises two adjacent second spacers, and
wherein the second portion of the at least one touch electrode overlaps with respective portions of the two adjacent second spacers.
7 . The touch display device of claim 6 , wherein the two adjacent second spacers extend along an edge of a corresponding light-emitting area of at least one light-emitting element disposed adjacent to the two adjacent second spacers among the plurality of light-emitting elements.
8 . The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one second spacer comprises two adjacent second spacers, and
wherein the two adjacent second spacers are disposed between corresponding light-emitting areas of two adjacent light-emitting elements among the plurality of light-emitting elements.
9 . The touch display device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one first spacer is disposed to be surrounded by corresponding light-emitting areas of at least three adjacent light-emitting elements among the plurality of light-emitting elements.
10 . The touch display device of claim 1 , further comprising:
a touch insulating layer between the encapsulation layer and the plurality of touch electrodes; and
at least one buffer layer disposed between the encapsulation layer and the touch insulating layer,
wherein the at least one buffer layer comprises a material that is different from a material of the touch insulating layer.
