Abstract

A display device including: a display panel; an accumulator that generates accumulated stress values of pixels; a memory that stores the accumulated stress values; a lookup table that stores a reference accumulated stress value and a corresponding reference compensation value; a compensator that generates compensation values of the pixels, and generates a data signal based on the input image data and the compensation values of the pixels; and a data driver that converts the data signal into a data voltage, wherein when the input image data is single grayscale data where each of the pixels has the same grayscale, the compensator extracts a minimum reference compensation value from reference compensation values of the pixels, calculates a value, by subtracting a minimum reference accumulated stress value, which corresponds to the minimum reference compensation value from the accumulated stress values of the pixels, and stores the value in the memory.
