Computing system implementing local context resolution and evaluation for network latency reduction
A computing system can detect, based on data received via the network communication interface, a launch of a service application on a computing device of a user to initiate an application session. During the application session, the system can obtain contextual data corresponding to user interactions with the service application by the user. Based on the contextual data, the system can perform at least one of (i) acquire first additional user data corresponding to the user from one or more local data sources, or (ii) derive second additional user data associated with the contextual data to avoid a network call and reduce network latency. The system may then classify the user in a specified group for providing targeted content.
1 . A computing system comprising:
a network communication interface;
one or more processors; and
one or more memory resources storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
detect, based on data received via the network communication interface, a launch of a service application on a computing device of a user to initiate an application session;
during the application session, obtain, via the network communication interface, contextual data corresponding to user interactions with the service application by the user;
based on the contextual data, derive additional user data associated with the contextual data; based at least in part on deriving the additional user data, classify the user in multiple specified groups for providing targeted content, wherein the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups based at least in part on one of the contextual data or the additional user data to determine whether a set of constraints corresponding to each group of the multiple specified groups in satisfied;
determine a level of priority for the targeted content of each specified group that the user is classified in based at least on the set of constraints corresponding to each specified group; and
provide the targeted content of at least one group of the multiple specified groups to the user based on the level of priority for the targeted content of the at least one group.
2 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the executed instructions further cause the computing system to:
subsequent to deriving the additional user data, determine whether second additional user data is required to satisfy a set of constraints associated with the multiple specified groups; and
based on determining that second additional user data is required to satisfy the set of constraints, perform a network call to an external data source to acquire the second additional user data.
3 . The computing system of claim 2 , wherein the executed instructions further cause the computing system to:
determine that evaluation of at least one of the contextual data or the additional user data cannot be performed locally;
generate and transmit an evaluation request, using the network communication interface, to an external source to evaluate the set of constraints using the contextual data; and
receive, via the communication interface, a group result from the external source indicating that the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups.
4 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the executed instructions further cause the computing system to:
in response to determining that the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups, transmit, via the network communication interface, display data to the computing device of the user, the display data causing the computing device to generate the targeted content, specific to each group of the multiple specified groups, on a user interface displayed on a display screen of the computing device of the user.
5 . The computing system of claim 4 , wherein the targeted content is displayed via the service application on the computing device of the user.
6 . The computing system of claim 5 , wherein the targeted content corresponds to an improvement in interactive user experience by the user in interacting with the service application.
7 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing system, cause the computing system to:
detect, based on data received via a network communication interface, a launch of a service application on a computing device of a user to initiate an application session;
during the application session, obtain, via the network communication interface, contextual data corresponding to user interactions with the service application by the user;
based on the contextual data, derive additional user data associated with the contextual data; based at least in part on deriving the additional user data, classify the user in multiple specified groups for providing targeted content wherein the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups based at least in part on one of the contextual data or the additional user data to determine whether a set of constraints corresponding to each group of the multiple specified groups in satisfied;
determine a level of priority for the targeted content of each specified group that the user is classified in based at least on a set of constraints associated with each specified group; and
provide the targeted content of at least one group of the multiple specified croups to the user based on the level of priority for the targeted content of the at least one group.
8 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 7 , wherein the executed instructions further cause the computing system to:
subsequent to deriving the additional user data, determine whether second additional user data is required to satisfy a set of constraints associated with the multiple specified groups; and
based on determining that second additional user data is required to satisfy the set of constraints, perform a network call to an external data source to acquire the second additional user data.
9 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the executed instructions further cause the computing system to:
determine that evaluation of at least one of the contextual data or the additional user data cannot be performed locally;
generate and transmit an evaluation request, using the network communication interface, to an external source to evaluate the set of constraints using the contextual data; and
receive, via the communication interface, a group result from the external source indicating that the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups.
10 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 7 , wherein the executed instructions further cause the computing system to:
in response to determining that the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups, transmit, via the network communication interface, display data to the computing device of the user, the display data causing the computing device to generate the targeted content, specific to each group of the multiple specified groups, on a user interface displayed on a display screen of the computing device of the user.
11 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 10 , wherein the targeted content is displayed via the service application on the computing device of the user.
12 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the targeted content corresponds to an improvement in interactive user experience by the user in interacting with the service application.
13 . A computer-implemented method of network latency reduction, the method being performed by one or more processors of a computing system and comprising:
detecting, based on data received via a network communication interface, a launch of a service application on a computing device of a user to initiate an application session;
during the application session, obtaining, via the network communication interface, contextual data corresponding to user interactions with the service application by the user;
based on the contextual data, deriving additional user data associated with the contextual data to avoid a network call and reduce network latency;
based at least in part on deriving the additional user data, classifying the user in multiple specified group groups for providing targeted content, wherein the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups based at least in part on one of the contextual data or the additional user data to determine whether a set of constraints corresponding to each group of the multiple specified groups in satisfied;
determining a level of priority for the targeted content of each specified group that the user is classified in based at least on a set of constraints associated with each specified group; and
providing the targeted content to the user of at least one group of the multiple specified groups to the user based on the level of priority for the targeted content of the at least one group.
14 . The computer-implemented method of claim 13 , further comprising:
subsequent to deriving the additional user data, determining whether second additional user data is required to satisfy a set of constraints associated with the multiple specified groups; and
based on determining that second additional user data is required to satisfy the set of constraints, performing a network call to an external data source to acquire the second additional user data.
15 . The computer-implemented method of claim 14 , further comprising:
determining that evaluation of at least one of the contextual data or the additional user data cannot be performed locally;
generating and transmitting an evaluation request, using the network communication interface, to an external source to evaluate the set of constraints using the contextual data; and
receiving, via the communication interface, a group result from the external source indicating that the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups.
16 . The computer-implemented method of claim 13 , wherein the method further comprises:
in response to determining that the user is classified in each group of the multiple specified groups, transmitting, via the network communication interface, display data to the computing device of the user, the display data causing the computing device to generate the targeted content, specific to each group of the multiple specified groups, on a user interface displayed on a display screen of the computing device of the user.
17 . The computer-implemented method of claim 16 , wherein the targeted content is displayed via the service application on the computing device of the user.
