Transmitting method, receiving method, transmitting device and receiving device
A transmitting method according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes: encoding a video signal and generating encoded data including a plurality of access units; storing the plurality of access units in a packet in a unit that defines one access unit as one unit or in a unit defined by dividing one access unit, and generating a packet group; transmitting the generated packet group as data; generating first information and second information, the first information indicating a presentation time of a first access unit that is presented first among the plurality of access units, and the second information being used to calculate a decoding time of the plurality of access units; and transmitting the first information and the second information as control information.
1 . A server that delivers video data comprising first data units, each first data unit including a sequence of samples and being randomly accessible, the server comprising:
circuitry; and a memory connected to the circuitry, wherein the circuitry is configured to:
transmit second data units, the second data units being associated with a first data unit, each second data unit including a consecutive subset of the sequence of samples stored in an mdat box and control information in moof format, wherein
the circuitry starts transmitting one or more second data units while the control information in moof format for at least one other of the second data units remains ungenerated,
the control information includes time information for deriving, using a presentation time or decoding time of a leading sample in the first data unit, decoding time stamps and presentation time stamps of the samples included in the second data unit, and
the control information in moof format further includes information indicating a number of samples in the second data unit.
2 . A method performed by a server that delivers video data comprising first data units, each first data unit including a sequence of samples and being randomly accessible, the server comprising:
transmitting second data units, the second data units being associated with a first data unit, each second data unit including a consecutive subset of the sequence of samples stored in an mdat box and control information in moof format, wherein
the circuitry starts transmitting one or more second data units while the control information in moof format for at least one other of the second data units remains ungenerated,
the control information includes time information for deriving, using a presentation time or decoding time of a leading sample in the first data unit, decoding time stamps and presentation time stamps of the samples included in the second data unit, and
the control information in moof format further includes information indicating a number of samples in the second data unit.
