Abstract

A wireless television device includes at least one circuit board with one or more SIM card slots. The SIM card slots are configured to store at least one SIM card containing unique identification numbers and providing security codes for authentication. The wireless television includes a wireless module for capturing and processing wireless broadband connection signals according to wireless communication standards. A processor communicates with the wireless module to establish network links, obtain transmitted data, determine multiply sourced data traffic, and output appropriate audio and video signals to a display panel. The wireless television utilizes SIM card authorization from wireless service providers to enable wireless broadband connectivity and content delivery.

Claims (1)

1 . A wireless Television (TV) comprising: at least one circuit board; one or more Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card slots on the at least one circuit board; at least one SIM card stored in one or more SIM card slots, the at least one SIM card: containing a unique serial number, Integrated Circuit Card Identifier (ICCID), International Mobile Subscriber Identity mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) number; providing a personal identification number (PIN) for ordinary use and a personal unblocking code (PUC) for PIN unlocking; and being configured to receive wireless broadband connection signal authorization from wireless service providers; a wireless module communicatively coupled to at least one circuit board, the wireless module being configured to capture a wireless broadband connection signal and to process the received wireless broadband connection signal according to a wireless communication standard, wherein the wireless module is configured to operate as user-end equipment, corresponding to user equipment (UE), in accordance with a cellular wireless communication standard including at least Long Term Evolution (LTE) or Fifth Generation (5G): and a processor in communication with the wireless module, the processor being configured to: perform, using the wireless module and the at least one SIM card, subscriber identity-based authentication and registration with a wireless data network; select the wireless data network from among a plurality of available cellular access networks based on signal quality or service requirements establish, using the wireless module, a packet data communication session between the wireless Television (TV) and the selected wireless data network.
