Compositions and methods for combinatorial drug discovery in nanoliter droplets
View Patent ↗Compounds and methods for combinatorial drug discovery in nanoliter droplets are described herein. More particularly, novel synergistic agents that increase efficacy of antibiotic agents to treat bacterial infections are described.
1 . A composition comprising (i) a somatostatin receptor agonist and (ii) novobiocin.
2 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the somatostatin receptor agonist is selected from the group consisting of Lanreotide, Pasireotide, and combination thereof.
3 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the somatostatin receptor agonist is Pasireotide.
4 . A method of treating a subject having a bacterial infection, the method comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of the composition of claim 1 .
5 . A method of treating a subject having a bacterial infection, the method comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of the composition of claim 3 .
6 . A method of treating a subject having a bacterial infection, the method comprising administering to the subject (i) an effective amount of an antibiotic selected from the group consisting of novobiocin, erythromycin, and combination thereof; and (ii) an effective amount of Lanreotide.
