Abstract

A breast pumping assembly for a forward-leaning chair is provided. The assembly allows for a breast pumping mother to be optimally positioned and comfortable while pumping breast milk, leading to quicker and more effective pumping. The breast pumping assembly and the chair are adjustable to adapt for different sized mothers and changing body size and shape as pumping progresses.

Claims (28)

1 . A system, comprising:

a table;

an adjustable base assembly comprising a first base comprising a column, wherein the adjustable base assembly is coupled to a slide bar and the table is configured to receive the slide bar to facilitate movement of the slide bar in at least one plane; and

a bottle holder operable to hold a bottle, wherein the column is configured to receive the bottle holder such that the bottle holder is configured to move about the column in multiple directions, and the bottle holder extends from a proximal end of the first base and further comprises a second base on which the bottle is configured to rest when the bottle is received and retained by the bottle holder.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the table comprises a channel configured to receive the slide bar and the slide bar allows the first base to move towards or away from an edge of the table.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the adjustable base assembly allows movement of the bottle holder in horizontal and rotational directions.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the bottle holder is pivotally connected to the column and rotatable about a major axis of the column.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the bottle holder is configured to extend around at least another portion of a circumference of the bottle when the bottle is received and retained by the bottle holder.

6 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a forward-leaning chair removably connected to the table by a support extending between the table and the forward-leaning chair.

7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the forward-leaning chair further comprises a seat and the system further comprises a center post coupled to the support, the seat, one or more shin rests, at least one abdomen support, and at least one chest support.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first base is movable to adjust a position of the bottle relative to the table to accommodate differently sized users.

9 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of legs coupled to and configured to support the table, wherein each of the legs is foldable or adjustable in length to thereby change a height of the table.

10 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a head rest pivotally connected to the table.

11 . A system, comprising:

a table comprising a channel and a plurality of legs coupled to and configured to support the table, wherein each of the legs is adjustable in length to thereby change a height of the table;

an adjustable base assembly comprising a first base comprising an upwardly extending column, wherein the adjustable base assembly is coupled to a slide bar and the channel is configured to slidably receive the slide bar to facilitate movement of the slide bar toward and away from a user; and

a bottle holder operable to hold a bottle for receiving pumped breast milk, wherein the upwardly extending column is configured to retain the bottle holder such that the bottle holder is configured to move about the upwardly extending column in a plurality of directions and the bottle holder is rotatable about a major axis of the upwardly extending column, extends from a proximal end of the first base, and further comprises a second base on which the bottle is configured to rest when the bottle is received and retained by the bottle holder.

12 . The system of claim 11 , further comprising a head rest pivotally connected to the table.

13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein each of the legs is foldable.

14 . The system of claim 11 , further comprising a forward-leaning chair removably connected to the table.

15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the forward-leaning chair further comprises a seat and the system further comprises a center post coupled to the support, the seat, one or more shin rests, at least one abdomen support, and at least one chest support.

16 . A system, comprising:

a table;

a forward-leaning chair comprising a seat and removably connected to the table by a support extending between the table and the forward-leaning chair;

a center post coupled to the support, the seat, one or more shin rests, an abdomen support, a chest support, and a head rest;

an adjustable base assembly comprising a first base comprising a column, wherein the adjustable base assembly is slidably coupled to the table to facilitate movement of the first base in at least one plane; and

a bottle holder operable to hold a bottle, wherein the column is configured to receive the bottle holder such that the bottle holder is configured to move about the column in multiple directions and the bottle holder is rotatable about a major axis of the column, extends from a proximal end of the first base, and further comprises a second base on which the bottle is configured to rest when the bottle is received and retained by the bottle holder.

17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the table comprises a channel and the adjustable base assembly is coupled to a slide bar and the channel is configured to receive the slide bar to facilitate movement of the first base in the at least one plane.
