Abstract

A stand for a device includes a supporter that includes a first fulcrum; a first arm that is coupled to the supporter so as to be rotatable within a first rotational range around the first fulcrum, and that includes a second fulcrum at one end thereof; a second arm that includes a first end and a second end, the first end being coupled to the first arm so as to be rotatable within a second rotational range around the second fulcrum, and the first arm and the second arm being movable with respect to each other via the second fulcrum; a locking device that secures the first arm and the second arm to each other in a state in which the first arm and the second arm are at positions within their respective rotational ranges at which the first arm and the second arm are substantially parallel to each other.

Claims (36)

1 . A stand for a device, comprising:

a supporter including:

a base;

a support pillar rising from the base;

a rectangular frame, a lower side of the rectangular frame being coupled to the support pillar; and

a first fulcrum supported by projections extending from inside the rectangular frame;

a first arm that is coupled to the supporter so as to be rotatable within a first rotational range around the first fulcrum, the first arm including a second fulcrum at one end thereof;

a second arm that includes a first end and a second end, the first end being coupled to the first arm so as to be rotatable within a second rotational range around the second fulcrum, and the first arm and the second arm being movable with respect to each other via the second fulcrum; and

a locking device, the locking device comprising:

a first locking member provided on the first arm; and

a second locking member provided on the second arm, the second locking member being engageable with the first locking member,

wherein the first locking member and the second locking member are provided at respective positions on the first and second arms such that the first locking member and the second locking member engage with each other and thereby secure the first arm and the second arm to each other in a state in which the first arm and the second arm are at positions within their respective rotational ranges at which the first arm and the second arm are substantially parallel to each other.

2 . The stand according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a grip,

wherein in a state in which the second arm is at a position within the second rotational range toward a side of the first arm, the grip is selectively movable to each of (i) a first position at which the device does not interfere with the first arm and the grip does interfere with the first arm, and (ii) a second position at which both the device and the grip do not interfere with the first arm.

3 . The stand according to claim 2 , further comprising:

a joint that is coupled to the second end of the second arm and the grip, the joint being coupled to the device, and an orientation of the device with respect to the second arm being changeable by operation of the grip in a state in which the device is coupled to the joint.

4 . The stand according to claim 3 , wherein the joint is coupled to the second end of the second arm so as to be rotatable around a third fulcrum.

5 . The stand according to claim 3 , wherein:

the grip is linkable to the device, and

in the state in which the second arm is at the position within the second rotational range toward the side of the first arm, the grip is movable to each of the first position and the second position by at least one of (i) a first operation of rotating the joint around the third fulcrum and (ii) a second operation of changing an orientation of the device by rotation of the device via the joint.

6 . The stand according to claim 2 , wherein a cushioner is provided at a portion where the grip interferes with the first arm.

7 . The stand according to claim 3 , wherein the joint is a ball joint.

8 . The stand according to claim 1 , wherein:

the second locking member comprises a magnet member provided on the second arm; and

the first locking member comprises a magnet receiver provided on the first arm and configured to receive the magnet member.

9 . The stand according to claim 8 , wherein the magnet receiver and the magnet member are opposite each other in the state in which the second arm is at the position within the second rotational range toward the side of the first arm.

10 . The stand according to claim 8 , wherein the magnet receiver and the magnet member contact with and are secured to each other in the state in which the first arm and the second arm are substantially parallel to each other.

11 . The stand according to claim 1 , wherein: the stand further comprises a second locking device that secures the first arm and the support pillar to each other.

12 . The stand according to claim 1 , wherein the first fulcrum supports the first arm at a position of the first arm between respective ends thereof.

13 . The stand according to claim 1 , wherein the first arm comprises:

an arm main body which is supported by the first fulcrum and to which the second arm is coupled; and

a counterweight provided on an end of the arm main body opposite an end of the arm main body to which the second arm is coupled.

14 . The stand for a device according to claim 1 , wherein:

the rectangular frame includes a pair of long sides arranged parallel to each other and extending in a vertical direction, and a pair of short sides arranged parallel to each other and extending in a horizontal direction substantially perpendicular to the vertical direction, one of the short sides being adjoined to bottom ends of the long sides and another of the short sides being adjoined to top ends of the long sides such that the frame member forms a substantially rectangular shape, and

the frame includes a plurality of grips, each sized to be gripped by a user of the stand, the grips including a grip provided on one of the short sides and a grip provided on one of the long sides.
