Simulation of user actions in computer environment
A launch of a user application is detected and a clone instance of that user application is initiated. A trigger is detected. The trigger is within the user application and is for a simulation of a user action. The user action is executed in the clone instance in response to detecting the trigger. The results of the user action are displayed to a user of the user application.
1 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:
detecting a launch of a first user interactive application;
initiating, based on the detecting of the launch of the first user interactive application, a first clone instance of the first user interactive application;
detecting, after the initiating of the first clone instance of the first user interactive application, a trigger in the first user interactive application for a simulation of a user action, wherein the detecting of the trigger is based on hovering of a cursor, for a threshold period of time, on a symbol associated with the user action in the first user interactive application;
executing, in the first clone instance of the first user interactive application, the same user action for which the trigger is detected in the first user interactive application, wherein a result of the execution of the user action in the first clone instance is same as a result of executing of the user action in the first user interactive application; and
controlling display of the result of the execution of the user action to a user of the first user interactive application.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the initiating of the first clone instance comprises:
identifying a property of the first user interactive application; and
creating the first clone instance based on the identified property.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
monitoring operations of the first user interactive application; and
synchronizing, based on the monitoring of the operations, the first clone instance and the first user interactive application.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
recording the execution of the same user action in the first clone instance, wherein the display of the result comprises display of the recording.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , further comprising:
determining available storage of a simulation system; and
recording, based on the determined available storage, the executing of the same user action in the first clone instance, wherein
the recording comprises capturing images of the execution of the same user action in the first clone instance or creating a text file of a list of processes and a respective result of the execution of the same user action in the first clone instance.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining that a user input is required for the executing of the same user action; and
prompting, based on the determining that the user input is required, the user to provide the user input.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
storing, based on the detecting of the trigger, a state of the first clone instance; and
loading, after the executing of the same user action, the stored state of the first clone instance.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein
the storing comprises initiating a second clone instance of the first user interactive application, and
the loading comprises:
terminating the first clone instance; and
switching the second clone instance.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein
the first clone instance is initiated in a simulation system, and
the simulation system simulates a second user interactive application.
10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein
the first user interactive application interacts with a server,
the first clone instance is initiated in a simulation system, and
the simulation system simulates the server.
11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the initiating of the first clone instance comprises:
identifying a property of the first user interactive application;
identifying, based on the identified property, a resource of the first user interactive application, wherein the first user interactive application interacts with the identified resource; and
initiating, in a simulation system, the first clone instance and a simulation of the identified resource.
12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the controlling of the display of the result comprises creating an overlay window in the first user interactive application within a vicinity of a location of the trigger.
13 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising initiating a second clone instance of a second user interactive application, wherein the second clone instance is simultaneously initiated with the initiating of the first clone instance.
14 . A system, comprising:
a processor; and
a memory in communication with the processor, the memory containing program instructions that, when executed by the processor, are configured to cause the processor to perform a method, the method comprising:
detecting a launch of a user interactive application;
initiating, based on the detecting of the launch of the user interactive application, a clone instance of the user interactive application;
detecting, after the initiating of the clone instance of user interactive application, a trigger in the user interactive application for a simulation of a user action, wherein the detecting of the trigger is based on hovering of a cursor, for a threshold period of time, on a symbol associated with the user action in the user interactive application;
executing, in the clone instance of the user interactive application, the same user action for which the trigger is detected in the user interactive application, wherein a result of the execution of the user action in the clone instance is same as a result of executing of the user action in the user interactive application; and
controlling display of the result of the execution of the user action to a user of the user interactive application.
15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the method performed by the processor further comprises:
monitoring operations of the user interactive application; and
synchronizing, based on the monitoring of the operations, the clone instance and the user interactive application.
16 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the method performed by the processor further comprises:
recording the execution of the same user action in the clone instance, wherein the display of the result comprises display of the recording.
17 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the initiating of the clone instance comprises:
identifying a property of the user interactive application;
identifying, based on the identified property, a resource of the user interactive application, wherein the user interactive application interacts with the identified resource; and
initiating, in a simulation system, the clone instance and a simulation of the identified resource.
18 . A computer program product, the computer program product comprising a computer readable storage medium having program instructions embodied therewith, the program instructions are executable by a computer to cause the computer to:
detect a launch of a user interactive application;
initiate, based on the detection of the launch of the user interactive application, a clone instance of the user interactive application;
detect, after the initiation of the clone instance of the user interactive application, a trigger in the user interactive application, for a simulation of a user action, wherein the detection of the trigger is based on a hover of a cursor, for a threshold period of time, on a symbol associated with the user action in the user interactive application;
execute, in the clone instance of the user interactive application, the same user action for which the trigger is detected in the user interactive application, wherein a result of the execution of the user action in the clone instance is same as a result of execution of the user action in the user interactive application; and
control display of the result of the execution of the user action to a user of the user interactive application.
19 . The computer program product of claim 18 , wherein the program instructions are further executable by the computer to cause the computer to:
monitor operations of the user interactive application; and
synchronize, based on the monitored operations, the clone instance and the user interactive application.
20 . The computer program product of claim 18 , wherein the program instructions are further executable by the computer to cause the computer to:
record the execution of the same user action in the clone instance, wherein the display of the result comprises display of the record.
