Abstract

A computing device can obtain usage data associated with the device. The usage data indicate how the computing device operates or how the device is used. The device can analyze the usage data to recognize usage patterns. The usage patterns can correspond to recurring actions or tasks initiated by the user using the device, such as actions or tasks initiated due to the user's habits and/or routines. Based on the usage patterns, the device can determine a task that has a sufficient likelihood of being performed using the device within a specified or determined time (e.g., 5 minutes from now, one year from now, etc.). The device can provide information (e.g., recommendations) associated with the task, and likely relevant to the user. The user can use the provided information to perform the task, thereby increasing the ease of access or efficiency associated with performing the task.

Claims (54)

1 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:

receiving usage data associated with a first device;

determining, based at least in part on the usage data, first media content to be preloaded;

determining the first device is associated with a second device;

sending, to the second device, first data related to the first media content;

causing the second device to use the first data to present information related to the first media content; and

causing the second device to load the first media content prior to receiving a user command to load the first media content on the second device.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining second media content corresponding to the usage data; and

determining the first media content based at least in part on the second media content.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining communication data corresponding to the usage data; and

determining the first media content based at least in part on the communication data.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining web resource data corresponding to the usage data; and

determining the first media content based at least in part on the web resource data.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first data is sent from the first device to the second device.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein determining the first media content expected to be requested comprises:

processing, by the first device, the usage data to determine the first media content to be preloaded.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining time data corresponding to the usage data; and

determining, based on the time data, a first time for loading of the first media content on the second device.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:

based at least in part on the usage data, causing the second device to load the first media content at a first time.

9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein causing the second device to present information related to the first media content comprises causing the second device to present the information on a display.

10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the first media content corresponds to a first application and wherein causing the second device to present information related to the first media content comprises causing the second device to present information related to the first application.

11 . A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

receive usage data associated with a first device;

determine, based at least in part on the usage data, first media content to be preloaded;

determine the first device is associated with a second device;

send, to the second device, first data related to the first media content;

cause the second device to use the first data to present information related to the first media content; and

cause the second device to load the first media content prior to receiving a user command to load the first media content on the second device.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one memory further comprises instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, further cause the system to:

determine second media content corresponding to the usage data; and

determine the first media content based at least in part on the second media content.

13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one memory further comprises instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, further cause the system to:

determine communication data corresponding to the usage data; and

determine the first media content based at least in part on the communication data.

14 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one memory further comprises instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, further cause the system to:

determine web resource data corresponding to the usage data; and

determine the first media content based at least in part on the web resource data.

15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the first data is sent from the first device to the second device.

16 . The system of claim 11 , wherein determining the first media content expected to be requested comprises:

process, by the first device, the usage data to determine the first media content to be preloaded.

17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one memory further comprises instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, further cause the system to:

determine time data corresponding to the usage data; and

determine, based on the time data, a first time for loading of the first media content on the second device.

18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one memory further comprises instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, further cause the system to:

based at least in part on the usage data, cause the second device to load the first media content at a first time.

19 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the instructions that cause the system to cause the second device to present information related to the first media content comprise instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to cause the second device to present the information on a display.

20 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the first media content corresponds to a first application and wherein the instructions that cause the system to cause the second device to present information related to the first media content comprise instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to cause the second device to present information related to the first application.
