Abstract

Trusted, privacy-protected systems and methods are disclosed for processing, handling, and performing tests on human genomic and other information. According to some embodiments, a system is disclosed that is a cloud-based system for the trusted storage and analysis of genetic and other information. Some embodiments of the system may include or support some or all of authenticated and certified data sources; authenticated and certified diagnostic tests; and policy-based access to data.

Claims (28)

1 . A method for performing trusted operations on energy data performed by a trusted data analysis system comprising a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the trusted data analysis system to perform the method, the method comprising:

receiving at least one energy data object and one or more digital signatures;

authenticating the at least one energy data object using at least one digital signature of the one or more digital signatures;

receiving, from a requesting system, an energy analysis request, the energy analysis request comprising one or more analysis parameters and a reference to the at least one energy data object;

selecting one or more energy analysis programs from a plurality of virtual energy analysis programs based, at least in part, on the one or more analysis parameters included in the energy analysis request;

executing one or more analysis algorithms associated with the one or more selected energy analysis programs using the at least one energy data object to generate one or more energy analysis outputs;

packaging the one or more energy analysis outputs into an energy analysis response; and

sending the energy analysis response to the requesting system.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more digital signatures comprise a signature generated using a private key associated with a device that generated the at least one energy data object.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the device comprises a connected appliance.

4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the private key comprises a private key associated with a manufacturer of the device.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more digital signatures comprise a signature generated using a private key associated with an entity that generated the at least one energy data object.

6 . The method of claim 1 , where the one or more analysis parameters comprise at least one parameter relating to one or more specified digital signatures associated with candidate energy analysis programs.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein selecting the one or more energy analysis program from the plurality of virtual energy analysis programs comprises:

verifying that the one or more selected energy analysis programs are associated with at least one of the one or more specified digital signatures.

8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the one or more specified digital signatures comprise one or more of a digital signature associated with a creator of an energy analysis program, an organization associated with an energy analysis program, and a certification authority.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises authenticating, prior to executing the one or more analysis algorithms, the one or more selected energy analysis programs.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein authenticating the one or more selected energy analysis programs comprises verifying at least one digital signature associated with the one or more selected energy analysis programs.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the at least one verified digital signature comprises one or more of a digital signature associated with a creator of an energy analysis program, an organization associated with an energy analysis program, and a certification authority.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more analysis parameters comprise at least one parameter relating to a cost associated with candidate energy analysis programs.

13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises decrypting the at least one energy data object.

14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises verifying one or more permissions associated with the one or more selected energy analysis programs.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein verifying the one or more permissions comprises determining that an identity associated with the one or more digital signatures is permitted to use the one or more selected energy analysis programs.

16 . The method of claim 1 , where the method further comprises generating an audit record.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the audit record comprises a cryptographic hash of one or more of the energy data object, the one or more selected energy analysis programs, a timestamp, and the energy analysis response.

18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the energy data object comprises energy usage information.

19 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the energy analysis response comprises one or more of load demand information, load type information, and energy savings recommendation information.

20 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one energy data object and the one or more digital signatures are received from one or more of a device that generated the at least one energy data object and the requesting system.
