Electronic device including two functional units driven by two circuitries respectively
The present disclosure provides an electronic device. The electronic device includes a substrate, a first circuitry, a first functional unit, a layer, an organic insulating layer, a second circuitry, and a second functional unit. The organic insulating layer is disposed on the layer. The first functional unit is driven by the first circuitry. A thickness of the organic insulating layer overlapped with an opening of the layer is greater than that of the organic insulating layer not overlapped with the opening. The second functional unit is driven by the second circuitry. A function of the first functional unit is different from a function of the second functional unit. A first portion of the second circuitry is overlapped with the first functional unit and a second portion of the second circuitry is overlapped with the second functional unit.
1 . An electronic device, comprising:
a substrate;
a first circuitry disposed on the substrate and having a first area;
a first functional unit disposed on the substrate and driven by the first circuitry, wherein the first circuitry is disposed between the first functional unit and the substrate;
a layer disposed on the substrate and having an opening, wherein the first functional unit is disposed corresponding to the opening;
an organic insulating layer disposed on the first functional unit and the layer, wherein a first maximum thickness of a first portion of the organic insulating layer overlapped with the opening is greater than a second maximum thickness of a second portion of the organic insulating layer, and the second portion of the organic insulating layer is not overlapped with the opening;
a second circuitry disposed on the substrate and having a second area, wherein in a top view, the first area is greater than the second area; and
a second functional unit disposed on the substrate and driven by the second circuitry, wherein a function of the first functional unit is different from a function of the second functional unit, and the second circuitry is disposed between the second functional unit and the substrate,
wherein the second circuitry comprises a portion, and the portion of the second circuitry is overlapped with the second functional unit in a top view direction of the electronic device,
wherein in the top view, the first functional unit is separated from the second functional unit,
wherein the first circuitry comprises a first transistor, the second circuitry comprises a second transistor, the first transistor comprises a first semiconductor layer, the second transistor comprises a second semiconductor layer, and a minimum distance between an upper surface of the first semiconductor layer and the substrate is different from a minimum distance between an upper surface of the second semiconductor layer and the substrate.
2 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the first transistor is overlapped with the second circuitry in the top view direction of the electronic device.
3 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the first transistor is overlapped with the second functional unit in the top view direction of the electronic device.
4 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , further comprising an inorganic insulating layer disposed on the organic insulating layer.
5 . The electronic device according to claim 4 , wherein the first maximum thickness of the organic insulating layer is greater than a third maximum thickness of the inorganic insulating layer.
6 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of a side surface of the layer is not parallel to a normal direction of a surface of the substrate in a cross-sectional view of the electronic device.
7 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the first functional unit comprises an organic light emitting diode or a micro light emitting diode.
8 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein a material of the layer comprises silicon oxide, silicon nitride, or silicon oxynitride.
9 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , further comprising a third functional unit disposed on the substrate, wherein another portion of the second circuitry is overlapped with the third functional unit in the top view direction of the electronic device.
10 . The electronic device according to claim 9 , wherein the third functional unit comprises a light emitting unit.
11 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the second functional unit comprises a photoelectric conversion element, a capacitor, or a pressure sensing element.
12 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the first functional unit comprises another light emitting unit, and the second functional unit comprises a sensor unit.
13 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the layer is a pixel defining layer.
14 . An electronic device, comprising:
a substrate;
a first circuitry disposed on the substrate and having a first area;
a first functional unit disposed on the substrate and driven by the first circuitry, wherein the first circuitry is disposed between the first functional unit and the substrate;
a layer disposed on the substrate and having an opening, wherein the first functional unit is disposed corresponding to the opening;
an organic insulating layer disposed on the first functional unit and the layer, wherein a first maximum thickness of a first portion of the organic insulating layer overlapped with the opening is greater than a second maximum thickness of a second portion of the organic insulating layer, and the second portion of the organic insulating layer is not overlapped with the opening;
a second circuitry disposed on the substrate and having a second area, wherein in a top view, the first area is greater than the second area;
a second functional unit disposed on the substrate and driven by the second circuitry, wherein a function of the first functional unit is different from a function of the second functional unit, and the second circuitry is disposed between the second functional unit and the substrate; and
a third functional unit disposed on the substrate, wherein the function of the first functional unit is the same as a function of the third functional unit,
wherein the second circuitry comprises a portion, and the portion of the second circuitry is overlapped with the second functional unit in a top view direction of the electronic device,
wherein in the top view, an area of the first functional unit is different from an area of the third functional unit,
wherein the first circuitry comprises a first transistor, the second circuitry comprises a second transistor, the first transistor comprises a first semiconductor layer, the second transistor comprises a second semiconductor layer, and a minimum distance between an upper surface of the first semiconductor layer and the substrate is different from a minimum distance between an upper surface of the second semiconductor layer and the substrate.
