Abstract

A system that utilizes a mobile device to facilitate a first transfer of an amount of funds associated with a line of credit to a gaming establishment account and further to facilitate a second transfer of part or all of such an amount of funds from the gaming establishment account to a gaming device, such as an electronic gaming machine or a gaming table component associated with a gaming establishment gaming table.

Claims (31)

1 . A gaming establishment component comprising:

a processor distinct from and operable with each of a server of a gaming establishment credit system, a server of a gaming establishment cashless wagering system and a master gaming controller of an electronic gaming machine; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor after an establishment of a line of credit of a first amount of funds with the gaming establishment credit system, cause the processor to:

responsive to a receipt, via a first communication interface, of data indicative of a marker request event occurring via a mobile device application and prior to any of the first amount of funds associated with the previously established line of credit being available to a user, communicate, via a second communication interface, data that results in an automatic modification of a cashless wagering account associated with the user, wherein the cashless wagering account is maintained by the server of the gaming establishment cashless wagering system independent of the server of the gaming establishment credit system, and the automatic modification is based on a second amount of funds associated with a marker drawn from the previously established line of credit, and

following the automatic modification of the cashless wagering account associated with the user and responsive to a fund transfer event occurring in association with the mobile device application, receive, via the second communication interface, data associated with a third amount of funds determined to be withdrawn from the cashless wagering account associated with the user.

2 . The gaming establishment component of claim 1 , wherein the marker request event occurs responsive to a marker request input being made via the mobile device application.

3 . The gaming establishment component of claim 1 , wherein the fund transfer event occurs in association with an input being received by the mobile device application.

4 . The gaming establishment component of claim 1 , wherein the fund transfer event automatically occurs responsive to the modification of the cashless wagering account.

5 . The gaming establishment component of claim 1 , wherein the second amount of funds is different from the third amount of funds.

6 . The gaming establishment component of claim 1 , wherein the memory device stores a plurality of further instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to communicate, via a third communication interface, data that results in a display device of the electronic gaming machine displaying a modification of a credit balance of the electronic gaming machine based on the third amount of funds.

7 . The gaming establishment component of claim 1 , wherein the third amount of funds is at least equal to the second amount of funds.

8 . A gaming table component comprising:

a gaming table component processor distinct from and operable with each of a server of a gaming establishment credit system and a server of a gaming establishment cashless wagering system; and

a gaming table component memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the gaming table component processor after an establishment of a line of credit of a first amount of funds with the gaming establishment credit system, cause the gaming table component processor to:

responsive to a receipt, via a first communication interface, of data indicative of marker request event occurring via a mobile device application and prior to any of the first amount of funds associated with the previously established line of credit being available to a user, communicate, via a second communication interface, data that results in an automatic modification of a cashless wagering account associated with the user, wherein the cashless wagering account is maintained by the server of the gaming establishment cashless wagering system independent of the server of the gaming establishment credit system, and the automatic modification is based on a second amount of funds associated with a marker drawn from the previously established line of credit, and

following the automatic modification of the cashless wagering account associated with the user and responsive to a fund transfer event occurring in association with the mobile device application, cause a display, by a display device, of an amount of gaming table chips to be provided to the user, wherein the amount of gaming table chips corresponds to a third amount of funds.

9 . The gaming table component of claim 8 , wherein the marker request event occurs responsive to a marker request input being made via the mobile device application.

10 . The gaming table component of claim 8 , wherein the fund transfer event occurs in association with an input being received by the mobile device application.

11 . The gaming table component of claim 8 , wherein the fund transfer event automatically occurs responsive to the modification of the cashless wagering account.

12 . The gaming table component of claim 8 wherein the display device comprises a display device of a dealer workstation associated with a gaming table.

13 . The gaming table component of claim 8 , wherein the display device comprises a display device of a mobile workstation.

14 . A method of operating a gaming establishment component, the method comprising:

after an establishment of a line of credit of a first amount of funds with a gaming establishment credit system:

responsive to a receipt, via a first communication interface, of data indicative of marker request event occurring via a mobile device application and prior to any of the first amount of funds associated with the previously established line of credit being available to a user, communicating, via a second communication interface, data that results in an automatic modification of a cashless wagering account associated with the user, wherein the cashless wagering account is maintained by a server of a gaming establishment cashless wagering system independent of a server of the gaming establishment credit system, and the automatic modification is based on a second amount of funds associated with a marker drawn from the previously established line of credit, and

following the automatic modification of the cashless wagering account associated with the user and responsive to a fund transfer event occurring in association with the mobile device application, receiving, via the second communication interface, data associated with a third amount of funds determined to be withdrawn from the cashless wagering account associated with the user.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the marker request event occurs responsive to a marker request input being made via the mobile device application.

16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the fund transfer event occurs in association with an input being received by the mobile device application.

17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the fund transfer event automatically occurs responsive to the modification of the cashless wagering account.

18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the second amount of funds is different from the third amount of funds.

19 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising communicating, via a third communication interface, data that results in a display device of a electronic gaming machine displaying a modification of a credit balance of the electronic gaming machine based on the third amount of funds.

20 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the third amount of funds is at least equal to the second amount of funds.
