Feature encoding/decoding method and apparatus, and recording medium in which bitstream is stored
Provided are a feature encoding/decoding method and device, and a computer-readable recording medium on which a bitstream generated by the feature encoding method is stored. The feature decoding method according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: determining, based on first information obtained from a bitstream, whether a prediction mode of a current feature channel is a channel skip mode; and predicting, based on the prediction mode of the current feature channel being the channel skip mode, the current feature channel by referring to a reference feature channel in a reference feature map, and the channel skip mode may be a mode in which motion information and residual information for a feature channel are not encoded.
1 . A feature decoding method performed by a feature decoding apparatus, the feature decoding method comprising:
determining, based on first information obtained from a bitstream, whether a prediction mode of a current feature channel is a channel skip mode; and
predicting, based on the prediction mode of the current feature channel being the channel skip mode, the current feature channel by referring to a reference feature channel in a reference feature map,
wherein the channel skip mode is a mode in which motion information and residual information for a feature channel are not encoded.
2 . The feature decoding method of claim 1 , wherein the reference feature map is determined as a feature map reconstructed before a current feature map to which the current feature channel belongs.
3 . The feature decoding method of claim 1 , wherein the reference feature map is determined based on index information obtained from the bitstream, and
wherein the index information is obtained based on the prediction mode of the current feature channel being the channel skip mode.
4 . The feature decoding method of claim 1 , wherein the reference feature channel is in a same position as a position in a current feature map of the current feature channel.
5 . The feature decoding method of claim 1 , wherein the current feature channel is predicted in a general coding mode based on the prediction mode of the current feature channel not being the channel skip mode.
6 . The feature decoding method of claim 1 , further comprising:
obtaining, from the bitstream, second information indicating whether the channel skip mode is permitted,
wherein the first information is obtained based on second information indicating that the channel skip mode is permitted.
7 . The feature decoding method of claim 6 , wherein the second information is obtained from a sequence level or a frame level of the bitstream.
8 . The feature decoding method of claim 6 , wherein index information indicating the reference feature map is obtained based on the first information indicating that the channel skip mode is applied.
9 . A feature encoding method performed by a feature encoding apparatus, the feature encoding method comprising:
determining a prediction mode of a current feature channel; and
predicting, based on the prediction mode of the current feature channel being the channel skip mode, the current feature channel by referring to a reference feature channel in a reference feature map,
wherein the channel skip mode is a mode in which motion information and residual information for a feature channel are not encoded, and
wherein first information indicating whether the prediction mode of the current feature channel is the channel skip mode is encoded in a bitstream.
10 . A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a bitstream generated by the feature encoding method of claim 9 .
11 . A method of transmitting a bitstream generated by a feature encoding method, the feature encoding method comprising:
determining a prediction mode of a current feature channel; and
predicting, based on the prediction mode of the current feature channel being the channel skip mode, the current feature channel by referring to a reference feature channel in a reference feature map,
wherein the channel skip mode is a mode in which motion information and residual information for a feature channel are not encoded, and
wherein first information indicating whether the prediction mode of the current feature channel is the channel skip mode is encoded in the bitstream.
