Claims (48)

1 . A composition for administering to a subject, wherein the composition comprises a combination of avocado/soybean unsaponifiables in a concentration of 1 to 8.3 μg/mL and cannabinoids in an amount of 25 to 590 ng/ml, based on a total volume of the composition.

2 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the cannabinoids comprise cannabidiol.

3 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the source of the cannabinoids is cannabis.

4 . The composition of claim 3 , wherein the source of the cannabidiol is a cannabis extract.

5 . The composition of claim 3 , wherein the source of the cannabidiol is a cannabis oil extract.

6 . The composition of claim 2 , wherein the cannabidiol is synthetic.

7 . The composition of claim 1 , further comprising terpenes.

8 . The composition of claim 1 , further comprising flavonoids.

9 . The composition of claim 1 , formulated for oral administration to an avian subject.

10 . The composition of claim 1 , formulated for oral administration to a mammalian subject.

11 . The composition of claim 10 , wherein the mammalian subject is selected from the group consisting of a human, dog, cat, horse, camel, and cow.

12 . A method of reducing levels of one or more inflammatory mediators comprising: administering to a subject in need thereof a combination of avocado/soybean unsaponifiables and cannabinoids, wherein

(a) the combination of the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables and the cannabinoids are administered in a dosage amount of

(i) the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables are at a dosage of 0.25 mg to 12 mg per kg bodyweight of the subject, and

(ii) the cannabinoids are at a dosage of 0.001 mg to 100 mg per kg bodyweight of the subject.

13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the cannabinoids comprise cannabidiol.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the source of the cannabidiol is cannabis.

15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the source of the cannabidiol is a cannabis extract.

16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the source of the cannabidiol is a cannabis oil extract.

17 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the cannabidiol is synthetic.

18 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the combination further comprises terpenes.

19 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the combination further comprises flavonoids.

20 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the combination is formulated for oral administration to an avian subject.

21 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the one or more inflammatory mediators are selected from the group consisting of interleukin-1β, interleukin-6, and interferon β.

22 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the combination is formulated for oral administration to a mammalian subject.

23 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the mammalian subject is selected from the group consisting of a human, dog, cat, horse, camel, and cow.

24 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein

(a) the subject is a human subject; and

(b) the combination of the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables and the cannabinoids are in the dosage amount of

(i) the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables are a dosage of 0.41 mg to 8.3 mg per kg bodyweight of the human subject, and

(ii) the cannabinoids are a dosage of 2.8 mg to 66.5 mg per kg bodyweight of the human subject.

25 . The composition of claim 24 , formulated for oral administration to the human subject.

26 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein

(a) the subject is a dog subject; and

(b) the combination of the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables and the cannabinoids are in the dosage amount of

(i) the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables are a dosage of 0.25 mg to 8.3 mg per kg bodyweight of the dog subject, and

(ii) the cannabinoids are a dosage of 1.05 mg to 8 mg per kg bodyweight of the human subject.

27 . The method of claim 12 , wherein

(a) the subject is a human subject; and

(b) the combination of the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables and the cannabinoids are administered in the dosage amount of

28 . The method of claim 27 , wherein combination is formulated for oral administration to the human subject.

29 . The method of claim 12 , wherein

(a) the subject is a dog subject; and

(b) the combination of the avocado/soybean unsaponifiables and the cannabinoids are administered in the dosage amount of
