Abstract

A testing system collects a specimen from a subject and measures the collected specimen to test the specimen, and includes a box to allow at least one of specimen collection for collecting and receiving the specimen, preprocessing for processing the collected specimen before measurement, or specimen measurement for measuring the preprocessed specimen to be performed therein.

Claims (26)

1 . A testing system to collect a specimen from a subject and measure the collected specimen to complete a test of the specimen, the testing system comprising:

a box comprising a freight container provided on a mobile body, the box comprising an integrated plurality of units arranged in a row and configured to allow at least one of specimen collection for collecting and receiving the specimen, preprocessing for processing the collected specimen before measurement, or specimen measurement for measuring the preprocessed specimen to be performed therein; wherein the integrated plurality of units comprises:

a first unit provided with a first robot to perform the specimen collection from the subject;

a second unit comprising a plurality of second robots to perform the specimen measurement;

a third unit in which no robots are provided, the third unit configured to perform output of the specimen measurement results; and

a fourth unit in which no robots are provided, forming an examination room capable of accommodating a standing person and into which the subject is capable of entry, the examination room provided for examining the subject to collect the specimen from the subject, the fourth unit provided separately from the first, second, and third units so as to prevent or reduce entry of pathogens present in the air, wherein

each of the plurality of units having a bottom surface forming a common bottom wall that contacts a transport surface of the mobile body;

the third unit and the fourth unit are provided on opposite ends of the integrated plurality of units; and

the first unit and the second unit are provided between the third unit and the fourth unit.

2 . The testing system according to claim 1 , wherein the first unit, the second unit, and the third unit are provided inside a single box while being partitioned from each other by partitions.

3 . The testing system according to claim 1 , wherein

the first robot is operable to sterilize an inside of the first unit with an ultraviolet irradiator.

4 . The testing system according to claim 3 , wherein the first unit further includes a partition plate separating a subject area of the fourth unit in which the subject is placed, and a robot area in which the first robot is placed, the robot area being partitioned from the subject area by a partition wall having an opening in which the partition plate is placed, and a specimen collection container conveyance section to transport a specimen collection container containing the collected specimen from the subject area to the robot area.

5 . The testing system according to claim 1 , wherein

the plurality of second robots provided in second unit includes a specimen dispensing robot to dispense a diluted specimen onto a plate having a plurality of wells; and

the second unit includes a plate conveyance section to transport the plate over a predetermined period of time to inactivate the specimen on the plate.

6 . The testing system according to claim 5 , wherein the second unit further includes a storage to store, for a predetermined period of time, a specimen collection container containing the collected specimen, from which a portion of the specimen has been dispensed onto the plate and in which a remaining portion of the specimen has been contained.

7 . The testing system according to claim 6 , wherein the second unit includes a moving robot placed in the storage to move the specimen collection container in the storage.

8 . The testing system according to claim 5 , wherein the second unit includes a supply robot to supply the plate to a dispensing position.

9 . The testing system according to claim 5 , wherein the second unit includes a reagent dispensing robot to dispense a reagent onto the plate.

10 . The testing system according to claim 1 , wherein

the mobile body includes a truck; and

the box is integral and unitary with the truck, or is loaded on a loading platform of the truck.

11 . The testing system according to claim 1 , placed at a moving base for passenger transportation, a medical facility, an event venue, or a commercial facility.

12 . The testing system according to claim 1 , wherein in the specimen collection, a saliva or nasal specimen is collected and received.

13 . The testing system according to claim 1 , wherein the specimen measurement is performed by a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test.
