Nautical ground station
An unmanned mobile communication station is adapted for location in a marine environment and includes a platform adapted for flotation or is semi-submersible, a communication node for sending and receiving wireless signals, a power system that includes a wave energy harvesting system for energizing said communication node, a data center, at least one sensor for detecting the geolocation of the platform; and a processor for receiving signals from said sensors and controlling communication to and from communication nodes wherein embodiments include both autonomous and remote controlled navigation and propulsion systems.
1 . An unmanned mobile communication station adapted for location in a marine environment comprising:
a platform adapted for flotation or semi-submersible;
a communication node for sending and receiving wireless signals;
a power system for energizing said communication node;
a data center;
at least one sensor for detecting the geo location of said platform; and
a processor for receiving signals from said sensors and controlling communication to and from said communication node,
wherein said platform further comprises a wave energy harvesting system, said system comprising a hull having a “V-Shaped” bow, sidewalls and a flat bottom section, and a primary planar panel that is attached by a hinge at the stern of said hull and configured to pivot from a first position wherein said primary planar panel is against said flat bottom section to a second position wherein said primary panel extends downward from said flat bottom section, and a piston and hydraulic cylinder, said piston connected to said panel and said flat bottom section, and a generator that creates electricity from the motion of said piston through a magnetic coil of said generator.
2 . An unmanned mobile communication station comprising a platform adapted for flotation or semi-submersible;
a communication node for sending and receiving wireless signals;
a power system for energizing said communication node;
a data center;
at least one sensor for detecting the geo location of said platform; and
a processor for receiving signals from said sensors and controlling communication to and from said communication node,
wherein said platform further comprises a wave energy harvesting system, said system comprising a hull having a v shaped bow, sidewalls and a flat bottom section, and a primary planar panel that is attached by a hinge at the stern of said hull and configured to pivot from a first position wherein said primary planar panel is against said flat bottom section to a second position wherein said primary panel extends perpendicular to said flat bottom, and a power takeoff system comprising a piston and cylinder attached to said panel and said flat bottom section that harvests energy from wave forces acting on said panels and an a generator connected to said power takeoff system, that converts mechanical energy from said piston and cylinder to electric current, and
further comprising a second planar panel that extends from said primary planar panel and said primary panel and said second planar panels are configured to be oriented perpendicular to said hull bottom and can be retracted to a position that is adjacent and parallel with said flat surface of said hull bottom.
3 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 2 wherein said second planar panel can be located within said primary planar and can telescopically extend from said primary planar panel.
4 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 2 wherein said power take off system comprises a dynamo that is integrated into said rear hinge and said dynamo communicates with a battery.
5 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 2 further comprising a piston and cylinder wherein said piston is attached to said primary planar panel and said cylinder is attached to said hull bottom.
6 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 5 wherein said power geniting system comprises a hydraulic generation system.
7 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 5 wherein said power generation system comprises a linear generator.

The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 2 further comprising a cable and winch, where said cable is attached to a distal end of said primary panel and the rotation of said winch allows said panel to move from a first position wherein said panel is perpendicular to said hull to a second position wherein said panel is adjacent and parallel with said planar bottom surface section of said hull, and the release of the winch allows said panel to fall from the bottom of said hull to said perpendicular position.
9 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 8 further comprising a second cable attached to a winch that retracts a second panel into said primary planar panel.
10 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 2 wherein said panels are rigid.
11 . The unmanned mobile communication station of claim 2 wherein said panels are comprised of a flexible material.
