Abstract

In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a housing and a mount. The housing includes a cover portion and a base portion. The cover portion and the base portion define an interior. The housing defines an opening via which the interior can be accessed from a region external to the housing. The mount is coupled to the base portion and configured to maintain a position of a fillable component within the interior of the housing such that an elastomeric membrane of the fillable component is aligned with the opening defined by the housing and a reservoir of the fillable component is accessible by a needle via the opening and the elastomeric membrane.

Claims (18)

1 . A method, comprising:

reading an identifier associated with a vaporizer fillable component;

delivering a consumable substance into a reservoir of the vaporizer fillable component;

transmitting fill information, the consumable substance and the identifier of the vaporizer fillable component to a remote server; and

storing the fill information, the consumable substance and the identifier of the vaporizer fillable component for traceability.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifier is stored in a memory of the vaporizer fillable component.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifier is disposed on an outer surface of the vaporizer fillable component.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identifier is disposed on an outer surface of a package, and the fillable component is disposed within the package.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the delivering of the consumable substance includes delivering the consumable substance through a lumen of a needle.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the delivering includes translating a filling device toward the vaporizer fillable component such that a portion of the filling device is disposed within a reservoir of the vaporizer fillable component.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining a characteristic of the consumable substance to be delivered to the vaporizer fillable component based on the identifier, the delivering including delivering the consumable substance based on the characteristic.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the characteristic includes a type of the consumable substance.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the fill information includes a type of the consumable substance.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining whether the vaporizer fillable component is valid or invalid includes determining whether a source of the vaporizer fillable component is valid or invalid.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the determining whether a source of the vaporizer fillable component is valid or invalid includes determining that the source is valid in response to determining that the identifier is associated with at least one of a known source or a valid status stored in a memory.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the vaporizer fillable component is a capsule configured to be operatively coupled to a vaporizer pen.

13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the vaporizer fillable component is located in a vaporizer device configured to heat the consumable substance in the reservoir.
