Methods and systems for authentication for remote transactions
Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for authentication of remote transactions. For instance, the method may include receiving a request for an interaction, obtaining data relating to an authentication item, and determining the location of a user device used by the user to initiate the interaction. The method may further include transmitting, to the user device, authentication data configured to cause a camera device to generate a response including the location of the camera device, receiving the response, authenticating the camera device as being associated with the user, and receiving one or more images of the authentication item captured by the camera device. The method may additionally include verifying that the user is in possession of the authentication item based on an analysis of the one or more images being received from the camera device and approving the interaction.

12 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:
receiving interaction data associated with an interaction initiated by a first device associated with a user, the interaction data including information indicative of a first location of the first device;
transmitting authentication data to the first device for display on the first device;
receiving a response generated by a second device, different from the first device and associated with the user, upon a reading of the authentication data displayed on the first device by the second device that causes the second device to generate and transmit the response, the response indicative of a second location of the second device;
determining the second location included in the response is within a predetermined geographical proximity to the first location included in the interaction data indicative of a co-location of the second device and the first device;
receiving item data identifying an item possessed by the user;
based on the co-location of the second device and the first device, providing a user interface to the second device for display, the displayed user interface prompting an image capture of the item by the second device to verify possession of the item by the user at a location associated with the first location of the first device used to initiate the interaction;
verifying the possession of the item by the user at the location associated with the first location in response to (i) determining a received image includes the item based on a comparison of the received image with the item data, and (ii) detecting the received image was received from and captured by the second device, the detecting confirming that the received image including the item was captured within the predetermined geographical proximity to the first location of the first device used to initiate the interaction; and
in response to the verifying, approving the interaction.
