Auto create a space reservation for a customer configuration layout
Creating a customer layout configuration of a vehicle is provided. The method comprises pulling, from a customer database, a number of text documents that specify a customer's preferences for the layout configuration. Technical requirements are determined according to a requirement database tool based on the customer preferences. Functional data and logical data are determined according to a system architecture modeling tool based on the customer preferences. A physical layout model of the vehicle is generated according to the customer preferences in the text documents within constraints of the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data.
1 . A computer-implemented method of creating a customer layout configuration of a vehicle, the method comprising:
using a number of processors to perform:
pulling, from a customer database, a number of text documents that specify a customer's preferences for the layout configuration that includes one or more components;
determining technical requirements according to a requirement database tool based on the customer preferences and technical requirements related to the layout configuration included in a requirements database, wherein the technical requirements include information related to installation of the one or more components of the layout configuration;
determining functional data and logical data according to a system architecture modeling tool based on the customer preferences and design rules related to the layout configuration included in a design rules database, wherein the functional data includes attendant elements that must accompany the one or more components of the layout configuration and the logical data includes operation interactions of the one or more components of the layout configuration; and
generating a computer-aided physical layout model of the vehicle according to the customer preferences in the text documents within constraints of the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data using model-based system engineering that pulls together the customer preferences, the functional data, and the logical data;
providing the computer-aided physical layout model to the customer for validation or modification of the customer preferences via a dashboard interface;
generating a three-dimensional model from the computer-aided physical layout model; and
creating specific parts designs for the vehicle based on the three-dimensional model.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the computer-aided physical layout model comprises a two-dimensional layout model.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising performing the pulling, determining technical requirements, determining functional data and logical data, generating the computer-aided physical layout model steps for the modified customer preferences.
4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising providing the three-dimensional model to the customer for validation or modification of the customer preferences via the dashboard interface.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising adding the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data to a customer model configuration tree.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the customer preferences comprise at least one of:
two-dimensional interior arrangements;
customer configuration options list; or
color and material.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data are determined via customer configuration options.
8 . A system for creating a customer layout configuration of a vehicle, the system comprising:
a storage device that stores program instructions;
one or more processors operably connected to the storage device and configured to execute the program instructions to cause the system to:
pull, from a customer database, a number of text documents that specify a customer's preferences for the layout configuration that includes one or more components;
use model-based system engineering without user interaction to:
determine technical requirements according to a requirement database tool based on the customer preferences and technical requirements related to the layout configuration included in a requirements database, wherein the technical requirements include information related to installation of the one or more components of the layout configuration;
determine functional data and logical data according to a system architecture modeling tool based on the customer preferences and design rules related to the layout configuration included in a design rules database, wherein the functional data includes attendant elements that must accompany the one or more components of the layout configuration and the logical data includes operation interactions of the one or more components of the layout configuration; and
generate a computer-aided physical layout model of the vehicle according to the customer preferences in the text documents within constraints of the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data using model-based system engineering that pulls together the customer preferences, the functional data, and the logical data;
provide the computer-aided physical layout model to the customer for validation or modification of the customer preferences via a dashboard interface;
generating a three-dimensional model from the computer-aided physical layout model; and
create specific parts designs for the vehicle based on the three-dimensional model.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the computer-aided physical layout model comprises a two-dimensional layout model.
10 . The system of claim 9 , further comprising performing the pulling, determining technical requirements, determining functional data and logical data, generating the computer-aided physical layout model steps for the modified customer preferences.
11 . The system of claim 10 , further comprising providing the three-dimensional model to the customer for validation or modification of the customer preferences via the dashboard interface.
12 . The system of claim 8 , further comprising adding the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data to a customer model configuration tree.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the customer preferences comprise at least one of:
two-dimensional interior arrangements;
customer configuration options list; or
color and material.
14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data are determined via customer configuration options.
15 . A computer program product for creating a customer layout configuration of a vehicle, the computer program product comprising:
a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having program instructions embodied thereon, when executed by a processor, to perform the operations of:
pulling, from a customer database, a number of text documents that specify a customer's preferences for the layout configuration that includes one or more components;
using model-based system engineering without user interaction to:
determine technical requirements according to a requirement database tool based on the customer preferences and technical requirements related to the layout configuration included in a requirements database, wherein the technical requirements include information related to installation of the one or more components of the layout configuration;
determine functional data and logical data according to a system architecture modeling tool based on the customer preferences and design rules related to the layout configuration included in a design rules database, wherein the functional data includes attendant elements that must accompany the one or more components of the layout configuration and the logical data includes operation interactions of the one or more components of the layout configuration; and
generate a computer-aided physical layout model of the vehicle according to the customer preferences in the text documents within constraints of the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data using model-based system engineering that pulls together the customer preferences, the functional data, and the logical data;
providing the computer-aided physical layout model to the customer for validation or modification of the customer preferences via a dashboard interface;
generating a three-dimensional model from the computer-aided physical layout model; and
creating specific parts designs for the vehicle based on the three-dimensional model.
16 . The computer program product of claim 15 , further comprising performing the pulling, determining technical requirements, determining functional data and logical data, generating the computer-aided physical layout model steps for the modified customer preferences.
17 . The computer program product of claim 16 , further comprising providing the three-dimensional model to the customer for validation or modification of the customer preferences via the dashboard interface.
18 . The computer program product of claim 15 , further comprising adding the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data to a customer model configuration tree.
19 . The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the customer preferences comprise at least one of:
two-dimensional interior arrangements;
customer configuration options list; or
color and material.
20 . The computer program product of claim 15 , wherein the technical requirements, functional data, and logical data are determined via customer configuration options.
