Abstract

The present disclosure describes a telecommunications equipment mount. The mount includes a stabilization frame having a plurality of lower rails, a plurality of vertical rails, and a plurality of upper rails, the lower, vertical, and upper rails forming a top, a bottom, and sides of the stabilization frame to define an open interior cavity. The mount further includes one or more mounting pipes, each mounting pipe secured to a respective side of the stabilization frame.

Claims (21)

1 . A telecommunications equipment mount, comprising:

a stabilization frame having a plurality of lower rails, a plurality of vertical rails, and a plurality of upper rails, the lower, vertical, and upper rails forming a top, a bottom, and sides of the stabilization frame to define an open interior cavity;

one or more support rails coupled to adjacent sides of the stabilization frame;

one or more cross-beam rails coupled to the lower rails of the stabilization frame; and

one or more mounting pipes, each mounting pipe secured to a respective side of the stabilization frame,

wherein the bottom of the stabilization frame is closed to allow one or more weighted items to be placed within the interior cavity to ballast the telecommunications equipment mount on a mounting structure.

2 . The mount of claim 1 , wherein the one or more support rails form a high-capacity support member, the high-capacity support member being configured to provide additional support to the stabilization frame when telecommunications equipment having a total weight over 100 pounds or multiple pieces of telecommunications equipment is secured to the mount.

3 . The mount of claim 1 , wherein an antenna is secured to at least one of the mounting pipes.

4 . The mount of claim 1 , wherein a remote radio unit is secured to at least one of the mounting pipe.

5 . A telecommunications equipment mount assembly, comprising:

one or more units of telecommunications equipment;

a mounting structure, wherein the mounting structure comprises a parapet wall; and

a telecommunications equipment mount, the mount comprising:

a stabilization frame having a plurality of lower rails, a plurality of vertical rails, and a plurality of upper rails, the lower, vertical, and upper rails forming a top, a bottom, and sides of the stabilization frame to define an open interior cavity; and

one or more mounting pipes, each mounting pipe secured to a respective side of the stabilization frame,

wherein the one or more units of telecommunications equipment is secured to the at least one mounting pipe, and

wherein the telecommunications equipment mount is mounted to the mounting structure.

6 . The assembly of claim 5 , wherein the telecommunications equipment is an antenna, a remote radio unit, or a combination thereof.

7 . The mount of claim 5 , wherein the telecommunications equipment mount further comprises one or more support rails coupled to adjacent sides of the stabilization frame, the one or more support rails form a high-capacity support member, the high-capacity support member being configured to provide additional support to the stabilization frame when telecommunications equipment having a total weight over 100 pounds or multiple pieces of telecommunications equipment is secured to the mount.

8 . The mount of claim 5 , wherein the stabilization frame comprises a closed bottom and the open interior cavity of the stabilization frame is configured to hold one or more weighted items.

9 . The mount of claim 5 , wherein the bottom of the stabilization frame comprises one or more cross-beam rails.
