Abstract

A display including a base and a plurality of light sources disposed on the base, at least one of the light sources including a first interconnect and one or more second interconnects, and a plurality of mounting regions on which a plurality of sub-light emitting devices is to be mounted, in which a first region of each of the plurality of mounting regions is electrically connected to the first interconnect, a second region of each of the plurality of mounting regions is electrically connected to one of the one or more second interconnects, and at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices mounted on the plurality of mounting regions is configured to emit light of different wavelength.

Claims (46)

1 . A display, comprising:

a base;

a plurality of light sources disposed on the base, at least one of the light sources including a first interconnect and one or more second interconnects;

a plurality of mounting regions on which a plurality of sub-light emitting devices is mounted; and

a phosphor layer covering at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices, wherein:

the phosphor layer is configured to convert a wavelength of blue light emitted by the at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices to a wavelength of red light;

a first region of at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices is electrically connected to the first interconnect;

a second region of at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices is electrically connected to one of the one or more second interconnects; and

at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices mounted on the plurality of mounting regions is configured to emit light of a different wavelength.

2 . The display of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of mounting regions includes a first mounting region and a second mounting region.

3 . The display of claim 2 , wherein the plurality of sub-light emitting devices includes a first sub-light emitting device and a second sub-light emitting device.

4 . The display of claim 3 , wherein the first sub-light emitting device is disposed on the first mounting region and the second sub-light emitting device is disposed on the second mounting region.

5 . The display of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of adhesive layers disposed on the base.

6 . The display of claim 5 , wherein at least one of the plurality of adhesive layers is disposed between the base and at least one of the plurality of the sub-light emitting devices.

7 . The display of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices mounted on the plurality of mounting regions is configured to emit light of different color.

8 . The display of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting devices is disposed between the first interconnect and one of the one or more second interconnects when viewed in plan view.

9 . A display, comprising:

a base;

a plurality of light sources disposed on the base, at least one of the light sources including a first interconnect and one or more second interconnects;

a plurality of mounting regions on which a plurality of sub-light emitting diodes is mounted; and

a phosphor layer covering at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes,

wherein:

the phosphor layer is configured to convert a wavelength of blue light emitted by the at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes to a wavelength of red light;

a first region of at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes is electrically connected to the first interconnect;

a second region of at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes is electrically connected to one of the one or more second interconnects; and

at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes mounted on the plurality of mounting regions is configured to emit light of a different color.

10 . The display of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of mounting regions includes a first mounting region and a second mounting region.

11 . The display of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes includes a first sub-light emitting diode and a second sub-light emitting diode.

12 . The display of claim 11 , wherein the first sub-light emitting diode is disposed on the first mounting region and the second sub-light emitting diode is disposed on the second mounting region.

13 . The display of claim 9 , further comprising a plurality of adhesive layers disposed on the base.

14 . The display of claim 13 , wherein at least one of the plurality of adhesive layers is disposed between the base and at least one of the plurality of the sub-light emitting diodes.

15 . The display of claim 9 , wherein at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes mounted on the plurality of mounting regions is configured to emit light of a different peak wavelength.

16 . A display, comprising:

a base;

a plurality of light sources disposed on the base, at least one of the light sources including a first interconnect and one or more second interconnects;

a plurality of mounting regions on which a plurality of sub-light emitting diodes is mounted; and

a phosphor layer covering at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes,

wherein:

the phosphor layer is configured to convert a wavelength of blue light emitted by the at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes to a wavelength of red light;

a first region of at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes is electrically connected to the first interconnect;

a second region of at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes is electrically connected to one of the one or more second interconnects; and

at least one of the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes mounted on the plurality of mounting regions is configured to emit light of a different peak wavelength.

17 . The display of claim 16 , wherein the plurality of mounting regions includes a first mounting region and a second mounting region.

18 . The display of claim 17 , wherein the plurality of sub-light emitting diodes includes a first sub-light emitting diode and a second sub-light emitting diode.

19 . The display of claim 18 , wherein the first sub-light emitting diode is disposed on the first mounting region and the second sub-light emitting diode is disposed on the second mounting region.

20 . The display of claim 16 , further comprising a plurality of adhesive layers disposed on the base.
