Abstract

A cooling apparatus and a cooling method are proposed. The cooling device may spray a coolant received from a coolant reservoir toward a target region to cool the target region. The cooling device may include a spraying unit from which the coolant is sprayed, a valve configured to regulate a flow of the coolant, and a control unit configured to control opening and closing of the valve. When cooling starts. the control unit may control a first cooling mode in which a temperature of the target region is decreased and a second cooling mode in which the temperature of the target region is maintained in a predetermined temperature range to be sequentially performed.

Claims (41)

1 . A tip structure configured to be equipped on a cooling device including a cooling medium, the tip structure comprising:

a front cover including:

an inner surface defining an internal space configured to receive the cooling medium, and

an outer surface comprising a connection portion configured to mount the cooling device; and

a cooling component configured to communicate heat between the cooling medium and a target,

wherein the cooling component includes:

a contact portion comprising a contact surface configured to contact the target, and

a locking portion configured to be mounted to the front cover,

wherein one end of the front cover defines a hole corresponding to the contact portion of the cooling component,

wherein a protrusion corresponding to the locking portion of the cooling component is formed inside the front cover,

wherein, in response to the cooling component being mounted to the front cover, the locking portion of the cooling component is configured to be caught by the protrusion of the front cover and the contact portion of the cooling component is configured to protrude through the hole of the front cover,

wherein a width of the internal space defined by the inner surface of the front cover is greater than a width of the cooling medium, and

wherein, in response to the tip structure being mounted to the cooling device, the cooling medium is configured to have surface contact with the cooling component, while the cooling medium is not physically contacted with the inner surface of the front cover.

2 . The tip structure of claim 1 , wherein the front cover is made of a plastic, and the cooling component is made of a metal.

3 . The tip structure of claim 1 , wherein a heat capacity of the cooling component is 0.1 times or 5 times of a heat capacity of the cooling medium.

4 . The tip structure of claim 1 , wherein the inner space of the front cover has a cylindrical shape whose width gradually increases.

5 . The tip structure of claim 1 , wherein the connection portion of the front cover is coupled to the cooling device by a male-female connection.

6 . A cooling device comprising:

a cooling assembly including:

a rear cover, and

a cooling medium; and

a tip structure including:

a cooling component configured to communicate heat between the cooling medium and a target, and

a front cover accommodating the cooling component therein,

wherein the front cover includes:

an inner surface defining an internal space configured to receive the cooling medium, and

an outer surface comprising a connection portion configured to be mounted to the rear cover of the cooling assembly,

wherein the cooling component includes:

a contact portion configured to contact the target, and

a locking portion configured to connect the contact portion to the front cover,

wherein one end of the front cover defines a hole corresponding to the contact portion of the cooling component,

wherein a protrusion corresponding to the locking portion of the cooling component is formed inside the front cover,

wherein, in response to the locking portion of the cooling component being caught by the protrusion of the front cover, the cooling component is configured to be disposed inside of the front cover to cause the contact portion of the cooling component to protrude through the hole, and

wherein, in response to the front cover of the tip structure being equipped to the rear cover of the cooling assembly through the connection portion, the cooling medium is configured to physically contact the cooling component, while the cooling medium is not physically contacted with the inner surface of the front cover due to a width of the internal space of the front cover designed to be larger than a width of the cooling medium.

7 . The cooling apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the tip structure is removable from the cooling assembly.

8 . The cooling apparatus of claim 6 , wherein a cooling assembly further includes an elastic coupling portion coupled to the rear cover.

9 . The cooling apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the elastic coupling portion includes an elastic member, and

wherein, in response to the tip structure being equipped to the cooling assembly, the elastic member is configured to provide an elastic force to the cooling medium to cause the cooling component and the cooling medium to be pressed into close contact with each other.

10 . The cooling apparatus of claim 6 , further comprising:

a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the cooling medium,

wherein the cooling medium has a groove and the temperature sensor is inserted into the cooling medium through the groove.
