Abstract

A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground engaging members and a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members. Additionally, the utility vehicle includes an operator area having a front seating section and a rear seating section.

Claims (28)

1 . A utility vehicle, comprising:

a plurality of ground engaging members;

a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members;

an operator area having a front seating section and a rear seating section, the front seating section comprising an operator seat and a front passenger seat;

a rear floorboard positioned within the rear seating section and defining a foot space for the rear seating section, the rear floorboard extending forwardly to a position below the front seating section to increase the foot space for the rear seating section; and

a first storage container positioned below the operator seat, wherein a lower end of the first storage container includes a recessed portion to increase the foot space for the rear seating section.

2 . The utility vehicle of claim 1 , wherein the operator seat includes a seat bottom and a seat back, and the rear floorboard extends forwardly to a position forward of the seat back of the operator seat.

3 . The utility vehicle of claim 2 , wherein the front passenger seat includes a seat bottom and a seat back, and the rear floorboard extends forwardly to a position forward of the seat back of the front passenger seat.

4 . The utility vehicle of claim 1 , further comprising a second storage container positioned below the front passenger seat.

5 . The utility vehicle of claim 4 , wherein a lower end of the second storage container includes a recessed portion to increase the foot space for the rear seating section.

6 . A utility vehicle, comprising:

a plurality of ground engaging members;

a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members;

an operator area having a front seating section and a rear seating section, the front seating section comprising an operator seat and a front passenger seat, and the rear seating section comprising a first rear passenger seat, a second rear passenger seat, and a third rear passenger seat, the second rear passenger seat being integral with the first and third rear passenger seats,

wherein the rear seating section includes a first transversely extending frame tube and a second transversely extending frame tube, the first transversely extending frame tube coupled to a diagonal brace by an upstanding member and the second transversely extending frame member coupled to the diagonal brace by a frame member, the diagonal brace coupled to a longitudinally extending member of the frame.

7 . A utility vehicle, comprising:

a plurality of ground engaging members;

a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members;

an operator area having a front seating section and a rear seating section, the front seating section comprising an operator seat and a front passenger seat, and the rear seating section comprising a first rear passenger seat, a second rear passenger seat, and a third rear passenger seat, the second rear passenger seat being integral with the first and third rear passenger seats,

the utility vehicle further comprising a plurality of storage containers including a first storage container positioned adjacent the operator seat, a second storage container positioned adjacent the front passenger seat, a third storage container positioned adjacent the first rear passenger seat, and a fourth storage container positioned adjacent the third rear passenger seat.

8 . The utility vehicle of claim 7 , wherein the first storage container is positioned under the operator seat and the second storage container is positioned under the front passenger seat.

9 . The utility vehicle of claim 7 , wherein the first and second storage containers include a drain opening.

10 . The utility vehicle of claim 9 , wherein an upper surface of each of the first and second storage containers includes an upstanding protrusion defining a lip.

11 . The utility vehicle of claim 10 , wherein at least the first and second storage containers each includes a lid configured to couple with the lip to seal an interior space of each of the first and second storage containers.

12 . The utility vehicle of claim 10 , wherein the drain opening is positioned outwardly of the lip.

13 . The utility vehicle of claim 7 , further comprising a fifth storage container positioned intermediate the operator seat and the front passenger seat.

14 . The utility vehicle of claim 7 , wherein the first and second storage containers include a recessed portion to increase a foot space for the first and third rear passenger seats.

15 . The utility vehicle of claim 7 , wherein the first, second, and third rear passenger seats are simultaneously movable to expose the third and fourth storage containers.
