Secure platform for the dissemination of data
A method including receiving, at a data distribution platform, a selection of a data package comprising a high fidelity data package. The method also includes filtering, automatically by a filtering application of the data distribution platform, the high fidelity data package to form a marketing data package. Filtering includes removing sufficient data from the high fidelity data package such that the marketing data package is a marketing data package. The method also includes publishing the marketing data package within the data distribution platform.
1 . A method, comprising:
receiving, at a data distribution platform, a selection of a data package comprising a high fidelity data package;
filtering, automatically by a filtering application of the data distribution platform, the high fidelity data package to form a marketing data package, the filtering comprising removing sufficient data from the high fidelity data package such that the marketing data package comprises a low fidelity data package comprising a first attribute, the low fidelity data package being a data package containing insufficient data such that, when the low fidelity data package is provided as input to a program comprising at least one of a data analysis program, a workflow, or an exploration and production (E&P) application, the program outputs an invalid result comprising a failure to locate a specific well site, and the filtering further comprising replacing a location with a polygon larger than the location, the polygon representing an area generalized from specific coordinates of the location, the replacing obscuring precise location information in the marketing data package;
publishing the marketing data package as a read-only data structure stored in the data distribution platform;
receiving a request for a user authentication token, via a first application programming interface at the data distribution platform, from a first remote computing system separate from the data distribution platform, the first remote computing system storing a consumer data package corresponding to a consumer, the consumer data package comprising a second attribute;
generating the user authentication token, via the first application programming interface at the data distribution platform, based on the consumer data package;
automatically validating the user authentication token, via a second application programming interface at the first remote computing system, in response to the first attribute of the marketing data package being the second attribute of the consumer data package; and
granting access, via a third application programming interface at the data distribution platform, by the consumer at the first remote computing system to the marketing data package in response to the user authentication token being validated,
wherein the access to the marketing data package is granted only when the first attribute of the marketing data package is same as the second attribute of the consumer data package,
wherein the marketing data package is provided to the first remote computing system automatically upon the granting of access by the consumer to the marketing data package, and
wherein the program outputs a valid result comprising a prediction or rendering of a distribution of an underground oilfield or another subterranean structure upon the granting of access.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, at the data distribution platform, a subscription request from the first remote computing system, the subscription request being based on the marketing data package; and
retrieving the high fidelity data package from a second remote computing system, separate from the data distribution platform.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
storing the marketing data package on the data distribution platform; and
preventing the marketing data package from being downloaded external to the data distribution platform in response to the first attribute of the marketing data package not being the second attribute of the consumer data package.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, at the data distribution platform from the first remote computing system separate from the data distribution platform, a query to search for a class within a plurality of marketing data packages;
determining, by the data distribution platform, a result of the query, the result comprising the marketing data package that satisfies the class; and
presenting, by a viewing application executed by the data distribution platform, a marketing view of the marketing data package to a display of the first remote computing system.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the publishing comprises permitting only the first remote computing system that has been authenticated by the data distribution platform to view the marketing data package.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, at the data distribution platform and from the first remote computing system, a subscription request to access the high fidelity data package;
receiving, at the data distribution platform and from a second remote computing system after receiving the subscription request, an access grant to access the high fidelity data package; and
facilitating, by the data distribution platform, access by the first remote computing system to the high fidelity data package.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving, at the data distribution platform and from the first remote computing system, a subscription request to access the high fidelity data package;
receiving, at the data distribution platform and from a second remote computing system after receiving the subscription request, an access grant to access the high fidelity data package, the first remote computing system and the second remote computing system being both external to the data distribution platform and different; and
facilitating, by the data distribution platform, access by the first remote computing system to the high fidelity data package,
wherein the facilitating comprises an action comprising at least one of:
permitting the first remote computing system to access the high fidelity data package stored on the data distribution platform,
permitting the first remote computing system to access the high fidelity data package stored on the second remote computing system,
permitting the first remote computing system to execute a data analysis application on the high fidelity data package while preventing the high fidelity data package from being downloaded by the first remote computing system, or
executing a data analysis application by the data distribution platform on the high fidelity data package and presenting an output of the data analysis application to the first remote computing system.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the filtering by the filtering application further comprises an action comprising at least one of: filtering a block of data, filtering a well location, filtering a report, filtering a log, filtering information on a licensing round, filtering an attribute, hiding an attribute, or a combination thereof.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the first remote computing system accesses the data distribution platform via the third application programming interface of the data distribution platform;
the high fidelity data package is provided by a second remote computing system via a fourth application programming interface of the data distribution platform;
the method further comprises permitting the first remote computing system to access a workflow executed on the data distribution platform; and
the publishing comprises permitting the first remote computing system to view the marketing data package via the workflow.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the marketing data package is provided in a plurality, such that each marketing data package corresponds to a different high fidelity data package; and
the first remote computing system is only granted access to individual ones of the plurality of marketing data packages for which a corresponding first attribute of the individual ones of the plurality of marketing data packages is the same as the second attribute of the consumer data package.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the invalid result as an output of the program comprises one or more of: failure to render an image, failure to perform a calculation, or outputting a calculation outside of a pre-determined range of error.
12 . A system, comprising:
a server processor;
a communication link in communication with the server processor;
a data repository in communication with the server processor and storing:
a data package comprising sufficient data to be a high fidelity data package; and
a marketing data package comprising a low fidelity data package; and
a data distribution platform interposed between a first remote computing system and a second remote computing system, different from the first remote computing system, the first remote computing system being separate from the data distribution platform, the data distribution platform being configured to:
receive a selection of the data package comprising the high fidelity data package;
filter, automatically by a filtering application on the data distribution platform, the high fidelity data package to form the marketing data package, the filtering comprising removing sufficient data from the high fidelity data package such that the marketing data package comprises the low fidelity data package comprising a first attribute, the low fidelity data package being a data package containing insufficient data such that, when the low fidelity data package is provided as input to a program comprising at least one of a data analysis program, a workflow, or an exploration and production (E&P) application, the program outputs an invalid result comprising a failure to locate a specific well site, and the filtering further comprising replacing a location with a polygon larger than the location, the polygon representing an area generalized from specific coordinates of the location, the replacing obscuring precise location information in the marketing data package;
publish the marketing data package as a read-only data structure stored in the data distribution platform;
receive a request for a user authentication token, via a first application programming interface at the data distribution platform, from the first remote computing system, the first remote computing system storing a consumer data package corresponding to a consumer, the consumer data package comprising a second attribute;
generate the user authentication token, via the first application programming interface at the data distribution platform, based on the consumer data package;
automatically validate the user authentication token, via a second application programming interface at a first remote computing system separate from the data distribution platform, in response to the first attribute of the marketing data package being the second attribute of the consumer data package; and
grant access, via a third application programming interface at the data distribution platform, by the consumer at the first remote computing system to the marketing data package in response to the user authentication token being validated,
wherein the access to the marketing data package is granted only when the first attribute of the marketing data package is same as the second attribute of the consumer data package,
wherein the marketing data package is provided to the first remote computing system automatically upon the granting of access by the consumer to the marketing data package, and
wherein the program outputs a valid result comprising a prediction or rendering of a distribution of an underground oilfield or another subterranean structure upon the granting of access.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the data distribution platform is further configured to:
receive, at the data distribution platform, a subscription request from the first remote computing system, the subscription request based on the marketing data package; and
retrieve the high fidelity data package from the second remote computing system.
14 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the data distribution platform is further configured to:
store the marketing data package on the data distribution platform; and
prevent the marketing data package from being downloaded external to the data distribution platform in response to the first attribute of the marketing data package not being same as the second attribute of the consumer data package.
15 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the data distribution platform is further configured to:
receive a query, from the first remote computing system separate from the data distribution platform, to search for a class within a plurality of marketing data packages;
determine a result of the query, the result comprising the marketing data package satisfying the class; and
present, by a viewing application executed by the data distribution platform, a marketing view of the marketing data package to a display of the first remote computing system.
16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein, in being configured to publish, the data distribution platform is further configured to permit only the first remote computing system that has been authenticated by the data distribution platform to view the marketing data package.
17 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the data distribution platform is further configured to:
receive, at the data distribution platform and from the first remote computing system, a subscription request to access the high fidelity data package;
receive, at the data distribution platform and from a second remote computing system after receiving the subscription request, an access grant to access the high fidelity data package; and
facilitate, by the data distribution platform, access by the first remote computing system to the high fidelity data package.
18 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the data distribution platform is further configured to:
receive, at the data distribution platform and from the first remote computing system, a subscription request to access the high fidelity data package;
receive, at the data distribution platform and from a second remote computing system after receiving the subscription request, an access grant to access the high fidelity data package, the first remote computing system and the second remote computing system being both external to the data distribution platform and different; and
facilitate, by the data distribution platform, access by the first remote computing system to the high fidelity data package,
wherein the facilitating comprises an action comprising at least one of:
permitting the first remote computing system to access the high fidelity data package stored on the data distribution platform,
permitting the first remote computing system to access the high fidelity data package stored on the second remote computing system,
permitting the first remote computing system to execute a data analysis application on the high fidelity data package while preventing the high fidelity data package from being downloaded by the first remote computing system, or
executing a data analysis application by the data distribution platform on the high fidelity data package and presenting an output of the data analysis application to the first remote computing system.

The system of claim 12 , wherein, in being configured to filter by the filtering application, the data distribution platform is further configured to perform an action comprising at least one of: filtering a block of data, filtering a well location, filtering a report, filtering a log, filtering information on a licensing round, filtering an attribute, hiding an attribute, or a combination thereof.
20 . The system of claim 12 , wherein:
the first remote computing system accesses the data distribution platform via the third application programming interface of the data distribution platform;
the high fidelity data package is provided by a fourth remote computing system via a second application programming interface of the data distribution platform; and
the data distribution platform is further configured to:
permit the first remote computing system to access a workflow executed on the data distribution platform; and
in being configured to publish, permit the first remote computing system to view the marketing data package via the workflow.
21 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
receiving, at the data distribution platform from the first remote computing system, a query to search for a search tag among a plurality of search tags stored at the data distribution platform, each search tag corresponding to at least one of the plurality of marketing data packages;
marketing data packages only among the individual ones of the plurality of marketing data packages for which access has been granted to the first remote computing system, a plurality of search tags being stored at the data distribution platform;
responsive to the data distribution platform determining that the query corresponds to a valid search tag among the plurality of search tags, determining, by the data distribution platform, that the valid search tag corresponds to one or more of the individual ones of the plurality of marketing data packages for which access has been granted to the first remote computing system;
responsive to the data distribution platform determining that the valid search tag corresponds to the one or more of the individual ones of the plurality of marketing data packages for which access has been granted to the first remote computing system; and
presenting, by a viewing application executed by the data distribution platform, a marketing view to a display of the first remote computing system of only the one or more of the individual ones of the plurality of marketing data packages for which access has been granted to the first remote computing system to which the valid search tag corresponds.
