Abstract

A method for manufacturing a keepsake display in an eye-wear form-factor, said method comprising the steps of: forming a transparent housing in a form-factor of an element of an eye-wear, wherein the eyewear element is at least one of a side shield, bridge, frame, or lens; filling said transparent housing with an expression of a keepsake; and coupling said keepsake-filled eyewear element to the eyewear in replacement of an original element of the eyewear for form-factored display of the keepsake.

Claims (25)

1 . An eyewear with an integrated keepsake display, comprising:

a transparent enclosure;

said transparent enclosure permanently integrated as a non-removable structural element of the eyewear, wherein the structural element is at least one of a side shield, nose bridge, ear piece, or frame of the eyewear; and

said non-removable structural element filled with a keepsake intended for outward display, wherein the keepsake comprises a material physically derived from a source material associated with a specific person, place, event, or structure.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the keepsake is pulverized into varying levels of granularity.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the element is an article of the eyewear serving a structural or design function.

4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the element is a side shield of the eyewear.

5 . The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the side shield is the clear enclosure housing the keepsake.

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a scanning element enabling a user to scan the element to verify an authentication including for at least one of a status, origination, or chain of custody of the keepsake over a network.

7 . The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the authentication including for at least one of a status, origination, or chain of custody of the keepsake is derived from an immutable ledger.

8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , further comprising a means for enabling removal of the keepsake housing from any one of the wearable device for repair or wearable device transfer.

9 . A method for an integrated keepsake display, said method comprising the steps of:

forming a transparent enclosure;

integrating said enclosure into a non-removable structural element of an article or item; and

filling said non-removable structural element with a keepsake for outward display, wherein the keepsake is any material physically derived from a source material associated with a specific person, place, event, or structure.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the keepsake is pulverized into varying levels of granularity.

11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the element is an article of the eyewear serving a structural or design function.

12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the element is a side shield of the eyewear.

13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the side shield is the clear enclosure housing the keepsake.

14 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising a scanning element enabling a user to scan the element to verify an authentication including for at least one of a status, origination, or chain of custody of the keepsake over a network.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the authentication including for at least one of a status, origination, or chain of custody of the keepsake is derived from an immutable ledger.

16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the scanning further comprises authenticating a membership status of a user.

17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the scanning accesses a digital exchange for the buying and/or selling of ‘form-factored’ or ‘embedded’ keepsakes.

18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the ‘embedded’ keepsake comprises a clear enclosure filled with the keepsake as a display, and said keepsake display embedded into an apparatus.

19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the apparatus is an eyewear, and the keepsake display is embedded into at least one of the eyewear lens, frame, temple, temple tips, or bridge.
