Abstract

A user device may capture a plurality of preview images that each include image data. The user device may process, in substantially real-time, a preview image to identify an object in the preview image, including determining an outline of the object. The user device may create a mask that hides a portion of the image data associated with an area outside of the outline of the object in one or more of the preview images. Based on determining that a parameter associated with glare of the object in the preview images does not satisfy a threshold, the user device may provide, in substantially real-time, feedback to a user, including an instruction to the user to perform an action with respect to the user device or to the object, and, based on determining that the parameter satisfies the threshold, the user device may automatically capture an image of the object.

Claims (52)

1 . A method, comprising:

receiving, by a device, one or more preview images comprising image data relating to an object and an area around the object;

determining, by the device, that a first parameter, associated with the area around the object in the one or more preview images, satisfies a threshold;

identifying, by the device, one or more pixels associated with the first parameter;

changing, by the device, one or more of a pixel intensity value, a pixel brightness level value, or a luminance value associated with the one or more pixels;

determining, by the device and based on the changing, that a second parameter, associated with the object in the one or more preview images, satisfies the threshold; and

automatically capturing, by the device and based on determining that the second parameter satisfies the threshold, a subsequent image of the object.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more preview images further includes a region beyond the object.

3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the image data comprises at least one of the pixel intensity value, the pixel brightness level value, or the luminance value.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the object in the one or more preview images comprises:

determining an outline of the object.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first parameter and the second parameter are associated with a glare on the object.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein automatically capturing the subsequent image comprises:

performing, based on the changing, an action associated with reducing the second parameter to be below the threshold; and

automatically capturing, based on performing the action, the subsequent image of the object.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the action relates to the device.

8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the action relates to another device.

9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

determining that the second parameter, associated with the object in the subsequent image, fails to satisfy the threshold; and

cropping, after determining that the second parameter fails to satisfy the threshold, the object in the subsequent image.

10 . A device, comprising:

one or more memories; and

one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:

identify one or more preview images comprising image data relating to an object and an area around the object;

determine that a first parameter associated with the object in the one or more preview images satisfies a threshold;

identify one or more pixels associated with the first parameter;

change one or more of a pixel intensity value, a pixel brightness level value, or a luminance value associated with the one or more pixels;

determine, based on the changing, that a second parameter, associated with the object in the one or more preview images, satisfies the threshold; and

automatically capture, based on determining that the second parameter satisfies the threshold, a subsequent image of the object.

11 . The device of claim 9 , wherein the one or more preview images further comprises a region beyond the object.

12 . The device of claim 10 , wherein the image data comprises at least one of the pixel intensity value, the pixel brightness level value, or the luminance value.

13 . The device of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors, to identify the object in the one or more preview images, are configured to:

determine an outline of the object.

14 . The device of claim 10 , wherein the first parameter and the second parameter are associated with a glare on the object.

15 . The device of claim 10 , wherein, to automatically capture the subsequent image, the one or more processors are configured to:

perform, based on the changing, an action associated with reducing the second parameter to be below the threshold; and

automatically capture, based on performing the action, the subsequent image of the object.

16 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the action relates to the device.

17 . The device of claim 15 , wherein the action relates to another device.

18 . The device of claim 10 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

determine that the second parameter, associated with the object in the subsequent image, fails to satisfy the threshold; and

crop, after determining that the second parameter fails to satisfy the threshold, the object in the subsequent image.

19 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions, the set of instructions comprising:

one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a device, cause the device to:

capture one or more preview images of an object comprising image data relating to an object and an area around the object;

determine that a parameter associated with the object in the one or more preview images satisfies a threshold;

identify one or more pixels associated with the parameter;

change one or more of a pixel intensity value, a pixel brightness level value, or a luminance value associated with the one or more pixels;

determine, based on the changing, that a second parameter, associated with the object in the one or more preview images, satisfies the threshold; and

automatically capture, based on the changing, a subsequent image of the object.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the one or more instructions, when executed by the one or more processors of the device, cause the device to:

transmit the subsequent image to a server for verification of the object.
