Abstract

Systems and methods for efficient management of an audio/video conferences is disclosed. The method includes receiving an audio question from a first user of a plurality of users connected to a conference, recording the audio question and preventing an immediate transmission of the audio question to the plurality of users connected to the conference, analyzing an audio portion of the conference to identify a time for transmitting the audio question to the plurality of users connected to the conference, and transmitting the audio question to the plurality of users at the identified time.

Claims (71)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving, by input/output circuitry, during a conference, a question;

determining, by control circuitry, that a number of questions already received during the conference exceeds a threshold;

based at least in part on determining that the number of questions already received during the conference exceeds the threshold:

preventing, by the control circuitry, transmitting of the question into the conference; and

causing, by the control circuitry, the question to be stored; and

causing, by the control circuitry, on a device associated with a presenter of the conference a display of a user interface including a selectable option to automatically transmit the question into the conference.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user interface includes display of a queue including the question.

3 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:

determining whether one or more responses by the presenter to the questions already received during the conference have been transmitted during the conference.

4 . The method of claim 3 , comprising:

based at least in part on determining that the one or more responses by the presenter to the questions already received during the conference have not been transmitted during the conference, causing to transmit the one or more responses by the presenter to the questions already received during the conference.

5 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:

analyzing voice output from the presenter of the conference; and

based at least in part on the analyzing the voice output from the presenter of the conference:

identifying a time when the presenter indicates a willingness to take questions; and

based at least in part on the identifying the time when the presenter indicates the willingness to take questions, causing to transmit the questions.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the identifying the time when the presenter indicates the willingness to take questions includes identifying one of a plurality of key phrases uttered by the presenter.

7 . The method of claim 1 , comprising:

analyzing voice output from the conference; and

based at least in part on the analyzing the voice output from the conference:

identifying a duration of time during which there is a pause in the conference that exceeds a predetermined threshold; and

based at least in part on the identifying the duration of time during which there is the pause in the conference that exceeds the predetermined threshold, causing to transmit the question.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the selectable option includes a question mode option; and

in response to selection of the question mode option:

causing all of a plurality of participant devices connected to the conference to be unmuted.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein:

in response to the selection of the question mode option:

causing to be displayed an indicator that the device associated with the presenter is ready to take voice questions.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the selectable option includes a mute mode option;

in response to selection of the mute mode option:

causing all of a plurality of participant devices connected to the conference to be muted except the device associated with the presenter.

11 . A system comprising:

computer hardware comprising:

input/output circuitry configured to:

receive, during a conference, a question; and

control circuitry configured to:

determine that a number of questions already received during the conference exceeds a threshold;

based at least in part on determining that the number of questions already received during the conference exceeds the threshold:

prevent transmitting of the question into the conference; and

cause the question to be stored; and

cause on a device associated with a presenter of the conference a display of a user interface including a selectable option to automatically transmit the question into the conference.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the user interface includes display of a queue including the question.

13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to:

determine whether one or more responses by the presenter to the questions already received during the conference have been transmitted during the conference.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to:

based at least in part on determining that the one or more responses by the presenter to the questions already received during the conference have not been transmitted during the conference, cause to transmit the one or more responses by the presenter to the questions already received during the conference.

15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to:

analyze voice output from the presenter of the conference; and

based at least in part on the analyzing the voice output from the presenter of the conference:

identify a time when the presenter indicates a willingness to take questions; and

based at least in part on the identifying the time when the presenter indicates the willingness to take questions, cause to transmit the questions.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the identifying the time when the presenter indicates the willingness to take questions includes identifying one of a plurality of key phrases uttered by the presenter.

17 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to:

analyze voice output from the conference; and

based at least in part on the analyzing the voice output from the conference:

identify a duration of time during which there is a pause in the conference that exceeds a predetermined threshold; and

based at least in part on the identifying the duration of time during which there is the pause in the conference that exceeds the predetermined threshold, cause to transmit the question.

18 . The system of claim 11 , wherein:

the selectable option includes a question mode option; and

the control circuitry is configured to, in response to selection of the question mode option:

cause all of a plurality of participant devices connected to the conference to be unmuted.

19 . The system of claim 18 , wherein:

the control circuitry is configured to, in response to the selection of the question mode option:

cause to be displayed an indicator that the device associated with the presenter is ready to take voice questions.

20 . The system of claim 11 , wherein:

the selectable option includes a mute mode option; and

the control circuitry is configured to, in response to selection of the mute mode option:

cause all of a plurality of participant devices connected to the conference to be muted except the device associated with the presenter.
