Abstract

Methods, apparatuses, and/or articles of manufacture may be implemented to establish an audio and/or video stream from one or more control/management computing devices utilizing an electronic communications network. The method may further include subdividing, by the instructor computing platform, the plurality of participant computing platforms into one or more virtual groups, in which a first virtual group of the one or more virtual groups acquires the audio and/or video stream and exclusively shares the audio and/or video stream generated by the one or more participants of the first virtual group between or among members of the first virtual group.

The method of claim 2 , wherein the obtaining the digital content from the first participant computing platform comprises obtaining the digital content from the first participant computing platform at the first control/management computing device via the electronic communications network in accordance with the first single-use token.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the initiating entry of the first participant computing platform into the online content delivery environment comprises authenticating the first participant computing platform at least in part by:

transmitting, via the electronic communications network, a digitally signed authentication request identifying, at least in part, the first participant computing platform to an authentication provider; and

obtaining authentication results from the authentication provider via the electronic communications network.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the authenticating the first participant computing platform further comprises checking a role specified via the first request and initiating entry of the first participant computing platform into the online content delivery environment responsive at least in part to the requested role matching a role authorized by the one or more control/management computing devices.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the initiating entry of the first participant computing platform into the online content delivery environment comprises:

transmitting, via the electronic communications network, one or more parameters identifying a first virtual group within the online content delivery environment to the first participant computing platform; and

allowing the first participant computing platform to join the identified first virtual group.

7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the one or more control/management computing devices allocating memory and/or other computing resources to provide a notebook and/or scratchpad for use by the first participant computing platform.

8 . An apparatus, comprising: a control/management computing device of an online content delivery environment, wherein the control/management computing device comprises at least one processor and at least one memory coupled to the processor, and wherein the control/management computing device is to:

receive, via an electronic communications network, a first request from a first participant computing platform to access the online content delivery environment;

initiate, at least in part via the control/management computing device, entry of the first participant computing platform into the online content delivery environment;

initiate, at least in part via the control/management computing device, transmission, via the electronic communications network, of a first single-use token to the first participant computing platform, wherein the first single-use token to permit the first participant computing platform to upload digital content comprising signals and/or states acquired from one or more imaging devices and/or one or more audio input devices of the first participant computing platform to the online content delivery environment via the electronic communications network; and

obtain, at the control/management computing device, the digital content from the first participant computing platform via the electronic communications network;

wherein, to initiate the entry of the first participant computing platform into the online content delivery environment, the control/management computing device to:

receive, via the electronic communications network, a second request from the first participant computing platform to join a first virtual group;

determine that the first participant computing platform is authorized to join the first virtual group;

initiate transmission of a second single-use token from the control/management computing device to the first participant computing platform via the electronic communications network; and

stream, via the electronic communications network, audio and/or digital content generated at least in part by one or more second participant computing platforms of the first virtual group to the first participant computing platform at least in part in accordance with a subscription indicated at least in part via the second single-use token.

9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the first single-use token further identifies the control/management computing device.

10 . The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein, to obtain the digital content from the first participant computing platform, the control/management computing device to obtain, via the electronic communications network, the digital content from the first participant computing platform in accordance with the first single-use token.

11 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein, to initiate the entry of the first participant computing platform into the online content delivery environment, the control/management computing device to authenticate the first participant computing platform, wherein the control/management computing device to:

initiate transmission, via the electronic communications network, of a digitally signed authentication request identifying, at least in part, the first participant computing platform to an authentication provider; and

obtain authentication results from the authentication provider via the electronic communications network.

12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein, to authenticate the first participant computing platform, the control/management computing device further to:
