Method for processing media data and device for processing media data
A method for processing media data according to embodiments may comprise the steps of: receiving service list provision information; transmitting region selection information on the basis of the service list provision information; and receiving media data on the basis of the region selection information.
1 . A method by a DVB-I (Digital Video Broadcasting-Internet) client comprising:
transmitting a query for service list entry points for at least one of a DVB broadcast service or DVB-I service;
receiving the service list entry points based on the query;
requesting a service list; and
receiving the service list,
wherein the service list includes region list information for a region for the service list,
wherein the region list information includes:
country code information for a list of countries that make the region,
a region identifier for identifying the region,
postcode information for a primary region,
region name information for representing a readable name of the primary region, and
region information for a secondary sub-region within the region.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the service list entry points comprise service list offering information,
wherein the requesting of the service list comprises:
transmitting region selection information based on the service list offering information; and
wherein the receiving of the service list comprises:
receiving the service list based on the region selection information.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the service list offering information comprises a type of the region selection information supported by a server.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the type of the region selection information comprises at least one of:
information indicating a postcode;
information indicating a receivable multiplex; or
information indicating a region ID.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the region selection information is presented by listing at least one of the information indicating the postcode, the information indicating the receivable multiplex, or the information indicating the region ID.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the region selection information comprises the information indicating the postcode.
7 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the type of the region selection information is provided with boolean information indicating whether the server supports each of the information indicating the postcode, the information indicating the receivable multiplex, and the information indicating the region ID.
8 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the transmitting of the region selection information comprises:
transmitting one of postcode information, multiplex information, and region ID information, corresponding to the type of the region selection information.
9 . A method comprising:
receiving a query for service list entry points for at least one of a DVB broadcast service or DVB-I service;
transmitting the service list entry points based on the query;
receiving a request for a service list; and
transmitting the service list,
wherein the service list includes region list information for a region for the service list,
wherein the region list information includes;
country code information for a list of countries that make the region,
a region identifier for identifying the region,
postcode information for a primary region,
region name information for representing a readable name of the primary region, and
region information for a secondary sub-region within the region.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the service list entry points comprise service list offering information,
wherein the receiving of the request for the service list comprises:
receiving region selection information based on the service list offering information; and
wherein the transmitting of the service list comprises:
receiving the service list based on the region selection information.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the service list offering information comprises a type of the region selection information supported by a server.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the type of the region selection information comprises at least one of:
information indicating a postcode;
information indicating a receivable multiplex; or
information indicating a region ID.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the region selection information is presented by listing at least one of the information indicating the postcode, the information indicating the receivable multiplex, or the information indicating the region ID.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the region selection information comprises the information indicating the postcode.
15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the type of the region selection information is provided with boolean information indicating whether the server supports each of the information indicating the postcode, the information indicating the receivable multiplex, and the information indicating the region ID.
16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the receiving of the region selection information comprises:
receiving one of postcode information, multiplex information, and region ID information, corresponding to the type of the region selection information.
17 . A DVB-I (Digital Video Broadcasting-Internet) client comprising:
a memory; and
at least one processor connected to the memory, the at least one processor configured to:
transmit a query for service list entry points for at least one of a DVB broadcast service or DVB-I service;
receive the service list entry points based on the query;
request a service list; and
receive the service list,
wherein the service list includes region list information for a region for the service list,
wherein the region list information includes:
country code information for a list of countries that make the region,
a region identifier for identifying the region,
postcode information for a primary region,
region name information for representing a readable name of the primary region, and
region information for a secondary sub-region within the region.
18 . An apparatus comprising:
a memory; and
at least one processor connected to the memory, the at least one processor configured to:
receive a query for service list entry points for at least one of a DVB broadcast service or DVB-I service;
transmit the service list entry points based on the query;
receive a request for a service list; and
transmit the service list,
wherein the service list includes region list information for a region for the service list,
wherein the region list information includes:
country code information for a list of countries that make the region,
a region identifier for identifying the region,
postcode information for a primary region,
region name information for representing a readable name of the primary region, and
region information for a secondary sub-region within the region.
