Abstract

[PROBLEM] To provide a sperm motility improvement agent that is highly safe and may effectively improve sperm motility. [SOLUTION] A sperm motility improvement agent comprising nicotinamide mononucleotide as an active ingredient.

Claims (6)

1 . A method of improving sperm motility, comprising bringing nicotinamide mononucleotide and pyrrolo-quinoline quinone in contact with semen ex vivo.

2 . The method according to claim 1 wherein the semen is a mammalian semen.

3 . The method according to claim 1 , comprising adding the nicotinamide mononucleotide to semen with a sperm concentration of 5×10 6 to 50×10 6 /ml such that a concentration of the nicotinamide mononucleotide becomes 0.05 to 150 μM.

4 . The method according to claim 1 , comprising adding the pyrrolo-quinoline quinone to semen with a sperm concentration of 5×10 6 to 50×10 6 /ml such that a concentration of the pyrrolo-quinoline quinone becomes 20 to 200 nM.

5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein a molar ratio of the nicotinamide mononucleotide to the pyrrolo-quinoline quinone is 1:1 to 1500:1.

6 . A semen sperm treated by the method according to claim 1 .
