Abstract

A metal wire includes tungsten or a tungsten alloy. The metal wire has a diameter of at most 13 μm, a tensile strength of at least 4.8 GPa, and a natural hanging length per 1000 mm of at least 800 mm.

Claims (28)

1 . A metal wire comprising:

tungsten or a tungsten alloy, wherein

the metal wire has:

a diameter of at most 9 μm;

a tensile strength of at least 4.8 GPa; and

a natural hanging length per 1000 mm of at least 800 mm.

2 . The metal wire according to claim 1 , wherein

the metal wire has a diameter variation of at most 1.0 μm.

3 . The metal wire according to claim 1 , wherein

the metal wire has a natural hanging length per 1000 mm of at least 900 mm.

4 . The metal wire according to claim 1 , wherein

the metal wire has a tungsten content of at least 90 wt %.

5 . A metal mesh comprising the metal wire according to claim 1 as warp or weft.

6 . The metal mesh according to claim 5 , wherein

the metal mesh is used as a mesh for screen printing.

7 . A metal wire comprising:

tungsten or a tungsten alloy, wherein

the metal wire has:

a diameter of at most 9 μm;

a tensile strength of at least 4.8 GPa; and

a diameter variation of at most 1.0 μm.

8 . The metal wire according to claim 7 , wherein

the metal wire has a natural hanging length per 1000 mm of at least 900 mm.

9 . The metal wire according to claim 7 , wherein

the metal wire has a tungsten content of at least 90 wt %.

10 . A metal mesh comprising the metal wire according to claim 7 as warp or weft.

11 . The metal mesh according to claim 10 , wherein

the metal mesh is used as a mesh for screen printing.
