Abstract

An electronic device includes: a processor; and a memory storing a program which, when executed by the processor, causes the electronic device to: switch between a first screen that displays a VR image individually and a second screen that displays a plurality of images including the VR image; and control a change in a display area of the VR image, wherein on the first screen, the display area of the VR image is changed based on a predetermined operation for changing the display area of the VR image, and on the second screen, the display area of the VR image is not changed based on the predetermined operation.

Claims (31)

1 . An electronic device comprising:

a processor; and

a memory storing a program which, when executed by the processor, causes the electronic device to:

switch between a first screen that displays a VR image individually and a second screen that displays a plurality of images including the VR image; and

control a change in a display area of the VR image, the display area being at least a part of the VR image, wherein

on the first screen, the display area of the VR image is changed based on a predetermined operation for changing the display area of the VR image, and

on the second screen, the display area of the VR image is not changed based on the predetermined operation.

2 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined operation includes an operation of changing a posture of the electronic device and a touch-move operation on the VR image.

3 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein

the program, when executed by the processor, further causes the electronic device to:

switch to a third screen that displays a right eye image and a left eye image of the VR image, and

control, on the third screen, to change the display area of the VR image based on the predetermined operation.

4 . The electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein the program, when executed by the processor, further causes the electronic device to, in a case where the VR image is a moving image on the third screen, start or stop playing the VR image in response to an operation by a user.

5 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the program, when executed by the processor, further causes the electronic device to, in a case where the VR image is a moving image on the first screen, start or stop playing the VR image in response to an operation by a user.

6 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the program, when executed by the processor, further causes the electronic device to, in a case where the VR image is a moving image on the second screen, control to determine a display area of each frame included in the VR image based on a reference direction of the frame.

7 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the program, when executed by the processor, further causes the electronic device to play the VR image from a beginning thereof in a case where the VR image is a moving image and has been played to an end and is displayed on the second screen.

8 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the program, when executed by the processor, further causes the electronic device to, in a case where the VR image on the second screen is a moving image that is longer than a predetermined length, control to change the display area of the VR image based on the predetermined operation.

9 . A method for controlling an electronic device, the method comprising:

switching between a first screen that displays a VR image individually and a second screen that displays a plurality of images including the VR image; and

controlling a change in a display area of the VR image, the display area being at least a part of the VR image, wherein

on the first screen, the display area of the VR image is changed based on a predetermined operation for changing the display area of the VR image, and

on the second screen, the display area of the VR image is not changed based on the predetermined operation.

10 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores a program for causing a computer to execute a method for controlling an electronic device, the control method comprising:

switching between a first screen that displays a VR image individually and a second screen that displays a plurality of images including the VR image; and

controlling a change in a display area of the VR image, the display area beingat least a part of the VR image, wherein

on the first screen, the display area of the VR image is changed based on a predetermined operation for changing the display area of the VR image, and

on the second screen, the display area of the VR image is not changed based on the predetermined operation.

11 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined operation includes a touch-move operation on the VR image.

12 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined operation includes a drag operation of a mouse.

13 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the predetermined operation includes an operation of pressing on a direction button.

14 . The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the VR image is an omnidirectional image captured by an omnidirectional camera, or a panoramic image with a video image area wider than the display area that can be displayed at a time.
