Abstract

In one embodiment, a method includes submitting, by a client computing device, an authentication request including authentication credentials of an insurance brokerage to access a secure statement website of a carrier; displaying, on the client computing device and in response to an authentication approval from the carrier, a multi-factor authentication (MFA) user interface of the carrier on a display of the client computing device; determining that the MFA user interface is currently being displayed on the display of the client computing device; in response to the determination, automatically displaying an MFA user interface of an insurance brokerage accounting system along with the MFA user interface of the carrier; determining that an MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier; and displaying, in the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system, the MFA code specific to the authentication request.

Claims (45)

1 . A method comprising:

submitting, by a client computing device, an authentication request comprising authentication credentials of an insurance brokerage to access a secure statement website of a carrier;

displaying, on the client computing device and in response to an authentication approval from the carrier, a multi-factor authentication (MFA) user interface of the carrier on a display of the client computing device;

determining, by the client computing device, that the MFA user interface is currently being displayed on the display of the client computing device;

in response to the determination that the MFA user interface is currently being displayed, then automatically displaying an MFA user interface of an insurance brokerage accounting system within the MFA user interface of the carrier, wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system is displayed at the same time as the MFA user interface of the carrier;

determining, by the client computing device, that an MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier; and

displaying, in response to the determination that the MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier, and in the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system, the MFA code specific to the authentication request.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system is displayed overlaid on the MFA user interface of the carrier.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

determining, by the client computing device, that an MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier comprises accessing an electronic message sent by the carrier and containing the MFA code; and

the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system comprises an identification of the electronic message.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system further comprises an interactive element that, when selected by a user, displays the electronic message.

5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the electronic message is a message from an external communication system.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the external communication system comprises an e-mail system.

7 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system further comprises an interactive element that, when selected by a user, copies the MFA code to a clipboard of the client computing device.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the multi-factor authentication user interface of the carrier is displayed by a software application of the insurance brokerage accounting system.

9 . A system comprising:

one or more non-transitory computer readable storage media storing instructions; and one or more processors coupled to the one or more non-transitory computer readable storage media and operable to execute the instructions to:

submit an authentication request comprising authentication credentials of an insurance brokerage to access a secure statement website of a carrier;

display, in response to an authentication approval from the carrier, a multi-factor authentication (MFA) user interface of the carrier on a display of a client computing device;

determine, by the client computing device, that the MFA user interface is currently being displayed on the display of the client computing device;

in response to the determination that the MFA user interface is currently being displayed, then automatically display an MFA user interface of an insurance brokerage accounting system within the MFA user interface of the carrier, such that the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system is displayed at the same time as the MFA user interface of the carrier;

determine that an MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier; and

display, in response to the determination that the MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier, and in the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system, the MFA code specific to the authentication request.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system is displayed overlaid on the MFA user interface of the carrier.

11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein:

determining that an MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier comprises accessing an electronic message sent by the carrier and containing the MFA code; and

the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system comprises an identification of the electronic message.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system further comprises an interactive element that, when selected by a user, displays the electronic message.

13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the electronic message is a message from an external communication system.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the external communication system comprises an e-mail system.

15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system further comprises an interactive element that, when selected by a user, copies the MFA code to a clipboard of the client computing device.

16 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the multi-factor authentication user interface of the carrier is displayed in a software application of the insurance brokerage accounting system.

17 . One or more non-transitory computer readable storage media storing instructions that are operable when executed by one or more processors to:

submit, by a client computing device, an authentication request comprising authentication credentials of an insurance brokerage to access a secure statement website of a carrier;

display, on the client computing device and in response to an authentication approval from the carrier, a multi-factor authentication (MFA) user interface of the carrier on a display of the client computing device;

determine, by the client computing device, that the MFA user interface is currently being displayed on the display of the client computing device;

in response to the determination that the MFA user interface is currently being displayed, then automatically display an MFA user interface of an insurance brokerage accounting system within the MFA user interface of the carrier, such that the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system is displayed at the same time as the MFA user interface of the carrier;

determine that an MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier; and

display, in response to the determination that the MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier, and in the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system, the MFA code specific to the authentication request.

18 . The media of claim 17 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system is displayed overlaid on the MFA user interface of the carrier.

19 . The media of claim 17 , wherein:

determining that an MFA code specific to the authentication request has been received from the carrier comprises accessing an electronic message sent by the carrier and containing the MFA code; and

the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system comprises an identification of the electronic message.

20 . The media of claim 19 , wherein the MFA user interface of the insurance brokerage accounting system further comprises an interactive element that, when selected by a user, displays the electronic message.
