Multi-part code system
A multi-part code system includes a network computing device operable to generate a first and second portion of a code for an interaction. The multi-part code system further includes a second computing device including a second network application and a first computing device including a first network application operable to obtain the second portion of the code, receive the first portion of the code, display the second portion of the code, display the first portion of the code on a code display area, instruct a user to drag the first portion of the code from the code display area to the display area to align with the second portion of the code. When the first portion of the code is aligned with the second portion of the code in the display area, produce the code, and send a finalized interaction notification to the network computing device.
1 . A computing device comprises:
a network module;
memory; and
a processing module operably coupled to the network module and to the memory, wherein the processing module is operable to:
obtain a first portion of a graphical code, wherein the graphical code represents an invoice and wherein the first portion of the graphical code includes a graphical representation of payee information;
obtain a first complementary portion of the graphical code that includes a graphical representation for information from a first payor device;
obtain a second complementary portion of the graphical code that includes a graphical representation for information from a second payor device;
combine the first portion of the graphical code with the first complementary portion of the graphical code to produce a first invoice and payment information for the first payor device;
combine the first portion of the graphical code with the second complementary portion of the graphical code to produce a second invoice and payment information for the second payor device; and
execute payment from the first and second payor devices when the first and second invoice and payment information has been verified.
2 . The computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is operable to obtain the first portion of the graphical code by:
sending, via the network module, the invoice and the payee information to a network computing device of a multi-part code system; and
receiving, via the network module, the first portion of the graphical code from the network computing device, wherein the network computing device generated the graphical code based on the invoice, and wherein the network computing device generated the first portion of the graphical code based on the payee information.
3 . The computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is operable to obtain the first complementary portion of the graphical code by:
receiving, via the network module, the first complementary portion of the graphical code from a network computing device of a multi-part code system, wherein the network computing device generated the first complementary portion of the graphical code based on the payment information for the first payor device.
4 . The computing device of claim 3 , wherein the processing module is operable to obtain the second complementary portion of the graphical code by:
receiving, via the network module, the second complementary portion of the graphical code from the network computing device, wherein the network computing device generated the second complementary portion of the graphical code based on the payment information for the second payor device.
5 . The computing device of claim 4 , wherein the processing module is operable to obtain one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
receiving, via an interface means, the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code from one or more of the first and second payor devices, wherein the network computing device provided the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code to the one or more of the first and second payor devices.
6 . The computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is operable to combine the first portion of the graphical code with one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
performing an alignment function to combine the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code with the first portion of the graphical code.
7 . The computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is operable to combine the first portion of the graphical code with one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
performing a drag and drop function to combine the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code and the first portion of the graphical code.
8 . The computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is operable to combine the first portion of the graphical code with one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
obtaining, via an interface means, an indication from one or more of the first and second payor devices that the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code has been combined with the first portion of the graphical code.
9 . The computing device of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is operable to execute payment from the first and second payor devices by:
sending, via the network module, confirmation that the first and second invoice have been generated to a network computing device of a multi-part code system; and
obtaining, via the network computing device, payment from the first and second payor devices.
10 . A computer readable storage medium comprises:
at least one memory section that stores operational instructions that, when executed by a processing module, causes the processing module to:
obtain a first portion of a graphical code, wherein the graphical code represents an invoice and wherein the first portion of the graphical code includes a graphical representation of payee information;
obtain a first complementary portion of the graphical code that includes a graphical representation for information from a first payor device;
obtain a second complementary portion of the graphical code that includes a graphical representation for information from a second payor device;
combine the first portion of the graphical code with the first complementary portion of the graphical code to produce a first invoice and payment information for the first payor device;
combine the first portion of the graphical code with the second complementary portion of the graphical code to produce a second invoice and payment information for the second payor device; and
execute payment from the first and second payor devices when the first and second invoice and payment information has been verified.
11 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to obtain the first portion of the graphical code by:
sending the invoice and the payee information to a network computing device of a multi-part code system; and
receiving the first portion of the graphical code from the network computing device, wherein the network computing device generated the graphical code based on the invoice, and wherein the network computing device generated the first portion of the graphical code based on the payee information.
12 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to obtain the first complementary portion of the graphical code by:
receiving the first complementary portion of the graphical code from a network computing device of a multi-part code system, wherein the network computing device generated the first complementary portion of the graphical code based on the payment information for the first payor device.
13 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to obtain the second complementary portion of the graphical code by:
receiving the second complementary portion of the graphical code from the network computing device, wherein the network computing device generated the second complementary portion of the graphical code based on the payment information for the second payor device.

The computer readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to obtain one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
receiving the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code from one or more of the first and second payor devices, wherein the network computing device provided the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code to the one or more of the first and second payor devices.

The computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to combine the first portion of the graphical code with one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
performing an alignment function to combine the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code with the first portion of the graphical code.

The computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to combine the first portion of the graphical code with one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
performing a drag and drop function to combine the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code and the first portion of the graphical code.

The computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to combine the first portion of the graphical code with one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code by:
obtaining an indication from one or more of the first and second payor devices that the one or more of the first and second complementary portions of the graphical code has been combined with the first portion of the graphical code.
18 . The computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the at least one memory section further stores operational instructions that, when executed by the processing module, causes the processing module to execute payment from the first and second payor devices by:
sending confirmation that the first and second invoice have been generated to a network computing device of a multi-part code system; and
obtaining, via the network computing device, payment from the first and second payor devices.
