Quantum metrology networks with parallel information processing
Processors, systems and methods are described that cause information detected by one or more quantum sensors to be processed in parallel in order to identify one or more physical properties indicated by the information.
1 . A processor comprising:
one or more circuits configured to:
cause at least one quantum sensor of a plurality of quantum sensors to generate at least one set of items of information of a plurality of sets of items of information, wherein the at least one set of items of information represents at least one quantum state associated with at least one physical system that is indicative of one or more physical properties of the at least one physical system;
cause at least one processing device of a plurality of processing devices to preprocess a respective set of items of information of the plurality of sets of items of information in order to generate a plurality of sets of preprocessed data; and
cause the plurality of sets of preprocessed data to be processed in order to identify the one or more physical properties of the at least one physical system.
2 . The processor of claim 1 , wherein each item of information of the plurality of items of information is timestamped with a timestamp, and wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data is further generated based on each timestamp.
3 . The processor of claim 1 , wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data comprises at least one of: a vector generated based on the respective set of items of information, or a Gaussian generated based on the respective set of items of information.
4 . The processor of claim 1 , wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data is encapsulated in classical network communication protocol data.
5 . The processor of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of processing devices, the processor and the plurality of quantum sensors form a synchronized quantum metrology network.
6 . A system comprising:
at least one physical system;
a plurality of quantum sensors;
a plurality of processing devices, each processing device of the plurality of processing devices being associated with a respective quantum sensor of the plurality of quantum sensors; and
one or more processing units configured to implement a synchronized quantum metrology network, wherein, to implement the synchronized quantum metrology network, the one or more processing units are configured to:
cause at least one quantum sensor of the plurality of quantum sensors to generate at least one set of items of information of a plurality of sets of items of information, wherein the at least one set of items of information represents at least one quantum state associated with the at least one physical system that is indicative of one or more physical properties of the at least one physical system;
cause at least one processing device of the plurality of processing devices to preprocess a respective set of items of information of the plurality of sets of items of information in order to generate a plurality of sets of preprocessed data; and
cause the plurality of sets of preprocessed data to be processed in order to identify the one or more physical properties of the at least one physical system.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein each processing device of the plurality of processing devices comprises a network interface card (NIC).
8 . The system of claim 6 , wherein each processing device of the plurality of processing devices comprises one or more data processing units (DPUs).
9 . The system of claim 6 , wherein each item of information of the plurality of items of information is timestamped with a timestamp, and wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data is further generated based on each timestamp.
10 . The system of claim 6 , wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data comprises at least one of: a vector generated based on the respective set of items of information, or a Gaussian generated based on the respective set of items of information.
11 . The system of claim 6 , wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data is encapsulated in classical network communication protocol data.
12 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the plurality of processing devices, the one or more processing units, and the plurality of quantum sensors form a synchronized quantum metrology network.
13 . A method comprising:
causing at least one quantum sensor of a plurality of quantum sensors to generate at least one set of items of information of a plurality of sets of items of information, wherein the at least one set of items of information represents at least one quantum state associated with at least one physical system that is indicative of one or more physical properties of the at least one physical system;
causing at least one processing device of a plurality of processing devices to preprocess a respective set of items of information of the plurality of sets of items of information in order to generate a plurality of sets of preprocessed data; and
causing each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data to be processed in order to identify the one or more physical properties of the at least one physical system.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein each item of information of the plurality of items of information is timestamped with a timestamp, and wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data is further generated based on each timestamp.
15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data comprises at least one of: a vector generated based on the respective set of items of information, or a Gaussian generated based on the respective set of items of information.
16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein each set of preprocessed data of the plurality of sets of preprocessed data is encapsulated in classical network communication protocol data.
